Has minimal role
Lewis did not carry the ball in Sunday's 33-17 loss to the Colts. He did add three catches on four targets for a total of 23 yards.
Analysis: Since getting a season-high 20 carries in Week 10 against New England, Lewis has steadily seen his role in the offense decline. That culminated with him not seeing a single carry in the season finale and only earning 10 combined rushing attempts across the last three games of the season. His diminishing role coincided with the emergence of Derrick Henry, who has established himself as the workhorse in the team's backfield over the course of the last four contests. On the positive side, Lewis…read more

Only six touches
Lewis totaled five yards on three carries in Saturday's 25-16 win over Washington. He also added three catches for 20 yards.
Analysis: Lewis continued his fall out of fantasy relevancy Saturday, totaling only six touches in comparison to Derrick Henry's 22. He did have one highlight-worthy play, taking a short dump-off from Marcus Mariota and converting it into an 18-yard gain. Other than that play, Lewis did little of note, averaging only 1.7 yards per carry. He cannot be trusted for a big role in the team's regular-season finale against the Colts.

Overshadowed again
Lewis carried the ball seven times for 35 yards in Sunday's 17-0 win over the Giants. He also added three receptions for nine yards.
Analysis: Lewis found himself on the short end of the running back split for the third consecutive week, racking up seven carries compared to Derrick Henry's 33. The rainy conditions of this game benefited the playing style of Henry over Lewis, though Lewis has now failed to earn 20 touches in a game for five consecutive weeks. Due to that lack of volume, he's only a desperation play in PPR leagues moving forward.

Clear second fiddle in win
Lewis rushed 10 times for 13 yards and brought in all five of his targets for 39 yards in the Titans' 30-9 win over the Jaguars on Thursday.
Analysis: Lewis saw backfield mate Derrick Henry explode for 238 rushing yards Thursday, so he was essentially left with a handful of leftover carries and a solid amount of pass-catching work. The veteran back has failed to top 36 rushing yards in four consecutive contests, and he hasn't found paydirt on the ground since the opener. Henry's stellar effort Thursday would seemingly dampen Lewis' even further, but coach Mike Vrabel has been unpredictable in how he's divided the backfield workload this…read more

Role shrinks
Lewis carried the ball six times for a total of 36 yards in Sunday's 26-22 win over the Jets. He also added two receptions for minus-2 yards.
Analysis: Lewis posted a season-high 20 carries in Week 10 against New England but has steadily seen his workload decrease since. That didn't change Sunday, when he saw a total of eight touches -- his lowest mark since the Titans' contest against Baltimore in Week 6. His lack of involvement in the passing game is especially concerning, and he has logged two or fewer receptions in three of his past four contests. Given his dearth of touchdowns, his fantasy floor appears limited at the moment.

Struggles on the ground
Lewis rushed seven times for eight yards and caught all seven of his targets for 33 yards in Monday's 34-17 loss to the Texans.
Analysis: Lewis was stymied on the ground for the second straight week and now has just 32 yards over his last 17 attempts. While Lewis struggled to get going, the Titans leaned more heavily on No. 2 back Derrick Henry, who led the Titans with eight carries. Henry didn't do much better than Lewis, however, gaining just 30 yards while also losing a fumble in the game's waning moments. Another disappointing performance
Lewis carried the ball 10 times for 24 yards in Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Colts. He also added one catch on two targets for eight yards.
Analysis: Lewis wasn't able to get anything going against the Colts despite once again leading the Titans' backfield in touches. His failure on the ground was not a major departure from the majority of the season, though his lack of involvement in the passing game was a letdown. His two targets tied for his lowest of the season, but he has now seen only a pair of targets in consecutive games. Outplayed by Henry in win
Lewis rushed 20 times for 57 yards and caught both of his targets for 11 more in Sunday's 34-10 win over the Patriots.
Analysis: Lewis got twice as many touches as Derrick Henry, but Henry had the better fantasy day by virtue of scoring two touchdowns. While Lewis' versatility gets him the majority of work, Henry's bulkier frame is more effective near the goal line. Considering Henry has four touchdowns in the past three weeks, he's likely to keep cutting into Lewis' value against the Colts in Week 11.

Tops 120 scrimmage yards while scoring
Lewis rushed 19 times for 62 yards and caught all four of his targets for 60 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 28-14 win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: Lewis saw teammate Derrick Henry score a one-yard touchdown to start the night, but along with finding the end zone on an 18-yard screen pass on the Titans' next drive, it was Lewis who would dominate the proceedings. In fact, he was handed more than three times the amount of carries Henry got (six). While his average of under 3.5 yards per rush wasn't great, Lewis' total of over 120 yards from scrimmage fueled Tennessee's victory and could earn him another healthy workload against his former…read more

Should stay busy after bye week
Offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur said the backfield workload split will probably continue to skew more toward Lewis rather than Derrick Henry when Tennessee returns from its Week 8 bye, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Analysis: LaFleur clarified that Lewis' role on passing downs naturally leads to more playing time, something that wouldn't necessarily be the case on a team with a winning record and positive point differential. Of course, the Titans have fallen far short of expectations so far, averaging just 15.1 points per game while getting off to a 3-4 start. A better overall team would lead to more scoring opportunities, but the current situation does at least give Lewis a nice chance to stay on the field. He…read more

Surpasses 150 total yards
Lewis rushed for 91 yards on 13 carries in Sunday's 20-19 loss to the Chargers. He also added six receptions for 64 yards.
Analysis: Lewis had a number of impressive runs Sunday, highlighted by a key 31-yard attempt late in the fourth quarter that helped set up the Titans potential game-winning score. He also added a 21-yard reception, matching the team's longest passing play of the day. Despite being a superior option to Derrick Henry both on the ground and in the passing game through seven contests this season, opportunity out of the team's backfield remains a near even split. Ineffective again
Lewis rushed for nine yards on five carries in Sunday's 21-0 loss to the Ravens. He also added two receptions for five yards.
Analysis: Lewis was out-touched by Derrick Henry despite a game script that called for passing. However, the entire Titans' offense failed to get on track, resulting in Lewis' worst yardage output of the campaign. After recording a season-best nine receptions in Week 4 against Philadelphia, he has just five receptions across his last two games. Lewis' involvement in the passing game had given him a reliable floor in PPR leagues early on, though even that has been called into question in recent weeks.

Suffers from inefficient performance
Lewis rushed for 34 yards on 12 carries and added three catches for 14 yards during Sunday's 13-12 loss to the Bills.
Analysis: Lewis led the Titans' backfield in touches for the second consecutive game and third time in five contests this season. However, that didn't lead to a big Week 5 performance, as he averaged just 2.8 yards per carry and 4.7 yards per catch. He also fumbled in the middle of the third quarter, leading to a Bills field goal that put the Titans down 10-6. Consistent threat in passing game
Lewis has made an impact in the Titans passing game, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Lewis hasn't made much of an impact on the ground, racking up only 143 yards through four games. However, he has 18 receptions on 21 targets, putting him on pace for a 72-catch season. That's enough to keep him relevant on a weekly basis in point-per-reception leagues, even if he has yet to break off many big gains.

Totals 66 yards
Lewis was held for no yardage in four carries, but picked up 66 yards on nine catches during Sunday's 26-23 win over the Eagles.
Analysis: On 4th-and-2 with Tennessee looking for the win, as opposed to a tie, in overtime, Marcus Mariota dropped the ball off to Lewis, who turned upfield for a game-altering 17-yard gain. Lewis, like his stable partner Derrick Henry, has struggled on the ground with a 3.3 yards-per-carry average this season, 1.4 yards below his career average. Plays second fiddle to Henry in win
Lewis rushed nine times for 26 yards and caught all three of his targets for 14 more in Sunday's 9-6 win over Jacksonville.
Analysis: Lewis has come back down to earth after a sizzling Titans debut, combining for just 68 rushing yards on 23 carries over the past two weeks. Derrick Henry has amassed 113 yards on 36 carries over that same span, suggesting Lewis is the inferior option on the ground. Still, Lewis is the significantly better receiving back, and that ability should allow him to play a sizable role against the Eagles next week.

Collects 43 yards
Lewis rushed for 42 yards on 14 carries and added a one-yard catch during Sunday's 20-17 win over the Texans.
Analysis: The Titans went run-heavy after taking an early two-score lead. That, and Houston's awareness of that strategy, might explain why the Titans struggled to get much per carry. Lewis should be given the benefit of the doubt after picking up 110 total yards in a more balanced attack in Week 1. What might be more interesting is whether Lewis can take a bigger share of the carries from Derrick Henry in the weeks ahead, with the latter averaging just 2.9 yards per carry through two weeks.

Outplays Henry in opener
Lewis rushed 16 times for 75 yards and a touchdown while catching five of eight targets for another 35 yards in Sunday's season-opening, 27-20 loss to the Dolphins.
Analysis: Lewis significantly outplayed Derrick Henry, who managed just 26 yards on 10 carries and one catch for five yards. Most notably, it was Lewis who got the call from four yards out on Tennessee's lone offensive touchdown. Starting quarterback Marcus Mariota left this one with an elbow injury, and the Titans will likely lean heavily on the running game should he miss extended time.

Sees more touches than Henry
Lewis rushed three times for 11 yards and secured all three of his targets for another 20 yards during Saturday's preseason loss to the Steelers.
Analysis: Derrick Henry predictably got the first crack at toting the rock, but Lewis finished the day with both more touches and total yards. While Henry's early down role lends itself to higher touchdown potential, all indications make it seem as if Lewis will nonetheless hold down a significant role within this backfield in 2018 -- especially on passing downs given Lewis' proficiency as a receiver, not to mention Henry's struggles in pass protection.

Impressive in passing game during loss
Lewis rushed once for one yard and secured both of his targets for 26 yards in the Titans' 30-14 preseason loss to the Buccaneers on Saturday. He also fumbled once, but it was recovered by the Titans.
Analysis: While his production in the running game was negligible, Lewis made up for it through the air. The veteran didn't have any catches in last week's preseason opener, but he did rush twice for eight yards. Analysis: While he had an argument to be considered the top running back in free agency, Lewis ultimately signed a contract much smaller than Jerick McKinnon's deal with the 49ers and landed with a team that already has an established power runner in Derrick Henry. Analysis: The Titans land their second former-Patriot of the day, just a few hours after it was announced that Malcolm Butler was heading to Tennessee. Lewis will serve as half of a one-two punch in the backfield alongside Derrick Henry, a very similar role to that of DeMarco Murray over the past two seasons. Analysis: Any lingering concern about Lewis' availability could be resolved if he practices Saturday, but even if that doesn't materialize, it sounds like the running back isn't in major danger of missing the Week 14 matchup. Analysis: Lewis' mid-week addition to the Patriots' injury report surely isn't a welcome sign for fantasy owners, but if the running back is able to return to practice in at least a limited capacity Friday, he should be in the clear for Monday's matchup with the Dolphins.
