Season over
Evans' (knee) 21-day practice window expired Tuesday, which means he will spend the rest of the season on injured reserve, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Analysis: With Evans' season officially over, he will now set his sights on returning to full health for the 2024 season. He has not played since injuring his knee in Week 5 versus the Rams. He ultimately recorded 15 tackles (nine solo), two passes deflected and one forced fumble in four games.

Still not slated to return
Evans (knee) won't be available for Sunday's Week 13 game against San Francisco, as the Eagles didn't activate him from injured reserve, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis: Evans hasn't suited up since Week 5 due to a knee injury. He was designated to return from IR on Nov. 14 but didn't participate in practice at all this week. Per Jeff McLane, Evans will likely be placed on season-ending IR when his 21-day practice window closes next week.

Won't be activated this week
Evans (knee) won't be activated from IR for Sunday's Week 12 battle with Buffalo.
Analysis: Evans was designated to return from IR last week and logged a trio of limited practice sessions, though he wasn't activated ahead of a Monday night win over the Chiefs. The safety didn't practice at all during Week 12 prep and won't up this Sunday either, but it's unclear if he's suffered any sort of setback. Evans' next opportunity to return will be Sunday, Dec. 3 against San Francisco.

Remains on IR for Week 11
Evans (knee) won't be activated from injured reserve before Monday's game against the Chiefs, Zach Berman of PHLY Sports reports.
Analysis: Evans' 21-day window to be activated from injured reserve was opened Tuesday, but he has yet to be added to the active roster and will miss Monday's game as a result. His next chance to play will come in Week 12 against the Bills, though Evans will first need to be officially activated.

Back at practice
Evans (knee) was a limited participant at the Eagles' practice Thursday.
Analysis: Evans was designated to return from injured reserve Tuesday and he was back at practice just two days later, participating in a limited capacity. The safety has been out since early October with a knee injury and appears to be approaching a return to the field relatively soon.

Designated to return
Evans (knee) was designated to return from injured reserve Tuesday.
Analysis: Philadelphia has opened Evans' 21-day practice window, meaning the 28-year-old safety is likely nearing a return from the knee issue that landed him on IR in early October. Evans started four games for the Eagles before his knee issue, recording 15 total tackles, two pass deflections and one forced fumble.

Heads to IR
Evans (knee) was placed on injured reserve Friday.
Analysis: The 28-year-old safety had been dealing with a neck issue throughout the last few weeks, and he now appears to have suffered a knee injury at some point that will hold him out for a while. Evans plays a rotational role in Philadelphia's secondary that will likely be filled by Sydney Brown (hamstring) going forward.

Full practice Wednesday
Evans (neck) was a full participant at the Eagles' practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Evans appears set to return to the field Sunday versus the Rams after missing the team's Week 4 overtime win over the Commanders with a neck injury. The 28-year-old will be back in his starting role at strong safety.

Won't play Sunday
Evans (neck) is inactive Sunday against the Commanders.
Analysis: Evans was able to log a full practice Friday, but the 28-year-old is still not quite healthy enough to play. Terrell Edmunds will likely get the start against Washington in his place.

Listed as questionable
Evans (neck) has drawn a questionable tag ahead of Sunday's game versus the Commanders.
Analysis: After starting the week as a nonparticipant at practice, Evans logged a full workload Friday. Thus, he appears to be trending in the right direction. He still needs to get cleared by the team's training staff, which is unlikely to take place until Sunday morning. Terrell Edmunds would be the probable candidate to replace him at strong safety alongside Reed Blankenship should he ultimately be ruled out.

Misses practice Wednesday
Evans (neck) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
Analysis: Evans was injured in this past Monday night's Week 3 win over the Bucs. He has started all three games to this point, seeing acting on 141 defensive snaps. Evans has accrued 11 tackles, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one pass breakup. Terrell Edmunds would presumably be the next man up to start if Evans' injury lingers.

Done for the night
Evans (neck) has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's matchup with the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Evans injured his neck in the first quarter and he will not return to to the game. Terrell Edmunds will remain the primary strong safety for the rest of the contest and more information on Evans will likely be provided after the game.

Suffers neck injury
Evans (neck) is questionable to return to Monday's contest with the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Evans suffered a neck injury in the first quarter of the game and he went into the medical tent prior to heading to the locker room. The 28-year-old was replaced by Terrell Edmunds at strong safety, and the latter will likely handle the lion's share of work if Evans can't return.

Signs with Philadelphia
Evans signed with the Eagles on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Evans will help fill the hole left at safety after C.J. Gardner-Johnson left to sign with the Lions. The 27-year-old played in 15 games for the Saints last year, making four starts and registering a career-low 29 tackles (17 solo). The 2017 second-round pick may compete with Reed Blankenship for playing time and potentially a starting spot at free safety.

Missing second straight meeting
Evans (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Analysis: Evans will now miss his second consecutive contest as a result of a shoulder injury. With fellow safety Marcus Maye (shoulder) also sidelined this weekend, Daniel Sorensen and Tyrann Mathieu are both in line to command New Orleans' starting safety spots versus Carolina.

Injures shoulder Saturday
Evans (shoulder) is questionable to return to Saturday's game against the Browns, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Evans logged two tackles before exiting at some point in the second half. With starting strong safety Marcus Maye (shoulder) already inactive Saturday, the Saints' secondary will be left extra short-handed for the time being.

Cut by Bucs
Evans (foot) was waived from the PUP list due to a failed physical Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Analysis: The 25-year-old has been on the PUP list since late July due to foot surgery, and he won't be returning for the Buccaneers this season. It's unclear where Evans currently stands in his recovery.

Eyeing November return
Evans (foot) was placed on the reserve/PUP list Saturday, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Evans has struggled to get healthy over the past two seasons, as his 2018 season ended with a foot injury and his 2019 campaign never started due to an Achilles injury. He's dealing with his 2018 foot injury again, however, and he'll need to wait until at least November to return to the lineup. Even when he's healthy, the 2017 second-round pick will likely be eased back into action, as it'll be his first time in a game in nearly two years. Antoine Winfield and Jordan Whitehead are expected to…read more

Lands on PUP list
The Bucs placed Evans (foot) on the PUP list Tuesday, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The 2017 second-round pick has dealt with a slew of lower-body injuries since midway through the 2018 campaign, with the most recent issue requiring foot/ankle surgery at some point last November or December. The team hoped to have him back for the start of training camp, but it appears he isn't quite ready. Jordan Whitehead and rookie second-round pick Antoine Winfield are the probable starting safeties in Tampa Bay, though Evans, Mike Edwards and Andrew Adams all are capable of making it a…read more

Likely for PUP list
Coach Bruce Arians said Tuesday that Evans (ankle/foot) is expected to be placed on the active/PUP list, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Arians said back in February that he had optimism for Evans to be cleared by June, but it looks as though he won't be ready for training camp. If the 2017 second-round pick were to shift to the reserve/PUP list to kick off the 2020 campaign, he would be required to miss the first six weeks of the season.

Possible June return
Head coach Bruce Arians hopes Evans (foot) will be cleared June 1, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Evans started the 2019 season on injured reserve due to an Achilles injury, and he was shut down for the year after undergoing surgery on his other foot -- the one that hampered him in the 2018 campaign. It's been a tough stretch for Evans, but he's almost in the clear and could participate in part of the offseason program. At the very least, the 24-year-old safety should be back in action by training camp.

Not returning in '19
Coach Bruce Arians confirmed Friday that Evans (Achilles) will not be activated off injured reserve this season, as he requires surgery on his other foot, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Evans' status for this season has seemingly been up in the air since the summer, when he sat out the final preseason game against the Cowboys with Achilles soreness. However, it's his other foot, the one that houses the troublesome toe that caused him to finish last season on injured reserve after 10 games, that is preventing his return in 2019. The third-year pro will now set his sights on a 2020 return.
