Won't join Jets after workout
Golladay worked out with the Jets on Wednesday but won't sign with the team, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Golladay has been searching for any opportunity to make an impression since being let go by the Giants back in March, but for now he has to keep looking. The 29-year-old wideout posted back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons with Detroit in 2018 and 2019, but he hasn't recorded 40 catches in any season since.

Let go by G-Men
The Giants released Golladay on Wednesday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The news comes as no surprise, as Golladay put up a pair of highly unproductive seasons for the Giants after signing a four-year, $72 million contract in 2021. The move will save New York $6.7 million against the salary cap. As for Golladay, he's unlikely to draw anything more than a one-year deal at a low salary level as he heads into free agency. The wideout had a pair of 1,000-plus yard receiving seasons in four years with the Lions but tallied a meager six catches on 17 targets for 81 yards…read more

Will be released
The Giants will release Golladay on March 15, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: By waiting until the new league year starts, the Giants will save $6.7 million against their salary cap. The 2017 third-round pick signed a massive four-year, $72 million contract with New York in March of 2021, but he failed to live up to the lofty deal, making his release unsurprising. He posted back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons with the Lions in 2018 and 2019 and secured 16 touchdowns during that stretch. However, he's caught just 63 passes for 940 yards and three scores in 31 appearances over…read more

Finally finds end zone
Golladay caught two of seven targets for 30 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 22-16 loss to the Eagles.
Analysis: In his 26th and potentially final game for the Giants, Golladay finally got into the end zone for his first TD with the team, catching a 25-yard toss from Davis Webb late in the fourth quarter during a game in which New York was resting most of its starters. Golladay suited up for 12 games this season and finished with a 6-81-1 line on 17 targets, disastrous production relative to his cap hit of over $21 million. The 29-year-old has two more years remaining on his current deal, but it seems…read more

Not targeted Week 14
Golladay did not see any targets in the Giants' Week 14 loss to Philadelphia on Sunday.
Analysis: Golladay logged only 11 offensive snaps in the contest, significantly less than the amount tallied by fellow wideouts Richie James (58), Isaiah Hodgins (57) and Darius Slayton (53). It may be hard to remember that Golladay was slated to be New York's top wideout coming into the campaign, as he hasn't come close to matching the 44 offensive snaps he logged Week 1 against Tennessee. In fact, Golladay has only two catches since the season opener, both of which came Week 11 against Detroit. He's…read more

Gets back to full participation
Golladay (illness) was a full practice participant Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: Golladay sat out this past Sunday's 20-20 tie with the Commanders due to an illness that he came down with one day prior. Now that he's back at practice in full capacity, however, he's good to go moving forward. Still, Golladay looks to be no better than fourth in the receiver pecking order for the Giants, with all of Darius Slayton, Isaiah Hodgins and Richie James (knee) better bets to connect with quarterback Daniel Jones on game days.

Won't play Sunday with illness
Golladay (illness) is listed as inactive Sunday versus the Commanders.
Analysis: Golladay was tacked on to the Giants' Week 13 injury report Saturday, suddenly leaving him questionable for Sunday's game due to an illness. While there was a belief he'd be able to play, he felt worse when he woke up Sunday morning and now won't be available to the team's offense, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. With Golladay out, Darius Slayton (illness), Richie James (knee), Isaiah Hodgins, Marcus Johnson and David Sills are the active wide receivers for New York this week.

Expected to play
Golladay (illness), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Commanders, is expected to be healthy enough to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Darius Slayton (illness) is also expected to play, according to Rapoport, so Golladay may not see an increased role, although the status of fellow wideout Richie James (knee) remains uncertain. Even with New York's receiving corps becoming more and more depleted as the season has rolled along, Golladay has yet to carve out a sizable role. While suiting up in each of the Giants' last three games, Golladay has played between 31 and 43 percent of the snaps on offense while hauling in two of four…read more

Added to injury report
Golladay was added to the injury report Saturday with an illness and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: The Giants are already dangerously thin at wide receiver and the likes of Darius Slayton (illness) and Richie James (knee) being questionable doesn't help matters either. Golladay has drawn just four targets over the last three weeks combined since returning from a multi-week absence due to a hamstring injury, but the veteran receiver has at least been soaking up a decent number of snaps per game. Expect the Giants to provide more information regarding the numerous injuries to their pass…read more

Invisible again Thursday
Golladay didn't draw any targets in Thursday's 28-20 loss to the Cowboys.
Analysis: When Wan'Dale Robinson (knee) was ruled out for the season early in the week, there was some thought that Golladay could be the primary beneficiary among the Giants' wide receivers. Instead, Golladay didn't see a single target for the second time this season and recorded his lowest offensive snap count (18) since Week 2 (not including games he missed due to injury). Behind clear top wideout Darius Slayton, Richie James stepped up with five catches for 41 yards and a touchdown while playing 41…read more

Reels in both targets versus Lions
Golladay finished a Week 11 loss to Detroit on Sunday with two catches on two targets for 29 yards.
Analysis: Golladay also saw two targets last week against Houston, but he dropped them both. With that in mind, his performance Sunday was a promising step in the right direction despite the fact that six Giants tallied more targets and four racked up more receiving yards. Rookie wideout Wan'Dale Robinson left the contest with a knee injury and was later seen on crutches, so Golladay may move up the depth chart by default despite recording just four catches for 51 yards on the season. Playing in Week 11
Golladay (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Lions.
Analysis: Golladay hasn't been able to avoid the injury bug this season, with a hamstring issue capping his practice reps for the entirety of Week 11 prep. While he'll be available Sunday, he's behind Darius Slayton, rookie Wan'Dale Robinson and likely newcomer Isaiah Hodgins in the pecking order at wide receiver for the Giants. With just two catches to his name in five games this season, Golladay remains off the fantasy radar as a member of a run-heavy offense.

Questionable, but should play
Golladay (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Analysis: Leonard added that he believes Golladay will play. Even if Golladay suits up, he's likely to play a minimal role against his former team, as he hasn't registered a catch since Week 1.

Another limited showing
Golladay (hamstring) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: In his return from a four-game absence Week 10 against the Texans, Golladay played 37 percent of the offensive snaps but failed to haul in either of his two targets. This week, he swapped a knee issue for a hamstring concern on the Giants' injury report. After back-to-back capped sessions, Golladay may have to practice fully Friday in order to enter the weekend without a designation for Sunday's contest versus the Lions.

Bothered by hamstring
Golladay was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a hamstring injury, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: Golladay returned last week after missing more than a month with an MCL sprain of his knee and failed to catch a pass on two targets in Sunday's 24-16 win over the Texans. He's now dealing with another health issue and likely won't be a starter even if he plays this Sunday against the Lions.

Drops both Week 10 targets
Golladay (knee) failed to catch either of his two targets in Sunday's 24-16 win over the Texans.
Analysis: Golladay dropped both of the balls thrown his way. The first was forgivable on a slightly off-target pass from Daniel Jones, but the second one was a blatant drop by the much maligned wide receiver. After the second drop, Golladay spent most of the game on the sideline while Isaiah Hodgins filled in opposite Darius Slayton and Wan'Dale Robinson manned the slot. Golladay's rarely targeted and has bungled his few opportunities in 2022, so it's fair to wonder if his time as a contributor for the…read more

Back in action Sunday
Golladay (knee) is listed as active Sunday against the Texans.
Analysis: Making his first appearance since Week 4, Golladay did enough during Week 10 prep to prove the health of the knee injury that sidelined him. His usage was sporadic prior to the absence, as he earned a 76 percent share of the snaps in the season opener before settling between three and 39 percent in his three other appearances. With Golladay back in the lineup, he'll enter a receiving corps led by Darius Slayton and Wan'Dale Robinson, so targets will be available from quarterback Daniel Jones.

May have big role Sunday
Golladay (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans, but he's expected to play and could have a prominent role, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Golladay fell out of favor with head coach Brian Daboll earlier this season and then missed Weeks 5 through 8 with an MCL sprain, but he's on track to return after a Week 9 bye, joining a wideout group led by Darius Slayton, Marcus Johnson and Wan'Dale Robinson the past month. Golladay could displace Slayton or Johnson from a starting role on the outside, with the latter seeming more vulnerable based on lack of production prior to the bye. Golladay (knee) will be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: Coach Brian Daboll said Friday he's "optimistic" about Golladay's chances of retaking the field for the first time since Week 4, per Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic, though an official word on his status may not be revealed until closer to Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff. Limited on practice estimate
Golladay (knee) was listed as limited on Thursday's estimated injury report, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: The Giants were given the day off Thursday, but Golladay would have maintained his activity level from the first practice of Week 10 prep, where he had a cap on his reps. On Wednesday, he told Salomone that he had put together back-to-back "good" days and felt "good," so the wide receiver may be able to uphold coach Brian Daboll's statement from Tuesday, in which he relayed to Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic that Golladay "should be ready to go" Sunday against the Texans. Golladay (knee) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: On Tuesday, head coach Brian Daboll told Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic that Golladay "should be ready to go" Sunday versus the Texans. One day later, the wide receiver himself said he felt "good" and was able to put together back-to-back "good" days, per Salomone. Trending toward return Sunday
Giants head coach Brian Daboll said Tuesday that Golladay (knee) "should be ready to go" for Sunday's game against the Texans, Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Benefiting from the Giants' Week 9 bye, Golladay is inching closer to his first game action since Week 4 as he looks to put a sprained MCL further in the rearview mirror. After seeing only six targets through the first four games of the season, however, it's not clear what his role might be upon his return in a receiving group currently headed up by Darius Slayton and Wan'Dale Robinson.

Could be back Week 10
Golladay (knee) could return after a Week 9 bye for the Giants' Week 10 matchup with Houston, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The Giants dealt Kadarius Toney to the Chiefs last week and didn't acquire any wide receivers ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline, perhaps opening the door a nudge for Golladay to get involved in the offense. However, he fell out of favor earlier this season even when the Giants were hit hard by injuries, dropping from the starting lineup to the bench before suffering an MCL sprain in October. Golladay (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Seattle, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: That makes four absences in a row ahead of a Week 9 bye, with no assurances of a significant role once he's healthy enough to play. Golladay is recovering from an MCL sprain but fell out of favor with coach Brian Daboll even before the injury.

DNP on Thursday
Golladay (knee) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Analysis: With Kadarius Toney (hamstring) getting shipped to Kansas City on Thursday, Golladay now is the only injured wide receiver on the Giants' active roster. Golladay hasn't made any noticeable progress in his recovery from a knee injury, so a fourth DNP in a row seems likely Sunday at Seattle, especially with the team's Week 9 bye on the horizon.

Not practicing Wednesday
Golladay (knee) won't practice Wednesday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Golladay and Kadarius Toney (hamstring) are both absent from practice to begin the week, and neither wideout is guaranteed to take on a significant role on offense once they put an end to their multi-game absences. Both Golladay and Toney will have two more chances to increase their activity levels in practice ahead of Sunday's matchup in Seattle.

Won't practice Wednesday
Giants head coach Brian Daboll said Golladay (knee) won't practice Wednesday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Golladay hasn't practiced since suffering an MCL sprain during the Giants' Week 4 win over the Bears and is trending towards a third straight absence. He still has two more opportunities to practice before the team needs to make a decision on his status for Week 7, but if Golladay isn't upgraded to a full participant by Friday, the wideout will likely turn his sights on preparing for Week 8. Analysis: For the second week in a row, Golladay didn't practice in any fashion while he continues to recover from an MCL sprain. The Giants' decision not to move Golladay to injured reserve after he suffered the injury in the Week 4 win over the Bears suggest the team anticipates he'll miss fewer than four games, but he'll need to get back on the practice field in some capacity next week to have a shot at playing Oct. 23 in Jacksonville. Likely out Week 5 with MCL sprain
Golladay (knee) has been diagnosed with a MCL sprain and isn't expected to make the trip to London for the Giants' Week 5 game against the Packers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Golladay suffered the injury in Sunday's win over the Bears and will likely remain in New York during the upcoming week to begin a rehab program. Before hurting his knee, the sixth-year wideout was already off to a rough start to the season, as he had seen his snap counts drop off considerably since Week 1 while managing only two receptions for 22 yards on six targets. Unlikely to face Packers
Coach Brian Daboll said Monday he does not expect Golladay (knee) to suit up versus the Packers in Week 5, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Analysis: Golladay was forced out of Sunday's win over the Bears with a knee injury, and it looks like he could be in line to miss some time. The Giants already had Kadarius Toney (hamstring) and Wan'Dale Robinson (knee) sidelined, so it's possible the team's receiving corps again could be significantly depleted again this Sunday. Makes nothing of three targets
Golladay failed to catch any of his three targets in Monday's 23-16 loss to the Giants.
Analysis: Golladay voiced his displeasure after being benched in Week 2, but his involvement in the Giants' offense remained minimal in Week 3. When he was on the field, the veteran wideout was ineffective, highlighted by a drop midway through the fourth quarter that would have given the team a chance to keep a vital drive alive. Golladay's future in New York is murky, but his involvement in the game plan could tick up in the absence of Sterling Shepard (knee).

Could ask for trade
Golladay was non-committal Wednesday when asked if he planned to request a trade from the Giants, Connor Hughes of SNY.tv reports.
Analysis: Head coach Brian Daboll demoted Golladay from a starting job Week 1 (77 percent snap share) to the bottom of the depth chart Week 2 (three percent), with David Sills replacing the former Lion in the starting lineup. Golladay is in the second season of a four-year, $72 million contract, but the Giants might be able to trade him if they eat some of the guaranteed money. Analysis: Golladay dealt with hip, knee, groin and rib issues while suiting up for 14 games with the Giants last season, but Schoen did not disclose which injury the 28-year-old's offseason surgery was intended to address. Still, the fact that Golladay had to recover from a spring procedure provides more context to his offseason performance, which Dan Benton of USA Today reports was decidedly underwhelming. That said, Golladay didn't miss a day of practice during the preseason, and he's still locked in…read more

No catches in preseason finale
Golladay started but couldn't haul in his only target in Sunday's 31-27 preseason loss to the Jets.
Analysis: Golladay's lone look from quarterback Tyrod Taylor was intercepted on a deep attempt downfield. Following that underwhelming final regular-season tune-up, Golladay now will turn his attention to Week 1's matchup versus the Titans, when he projects as one of New York's top wideouts.

Limited to decoy duties Sunday
Golladay started Sunday's 25-22 preseason win over the Bengals but wasn't targeted.
Analysis: Golladay was on the field for 21 of 24 snaps over the Giants' first three drives, but starting quarterback Daniel Jones didn't look his way a single time. New York probably was more focused on seeing what rookie skill-position players like Wan'Dale Robinson and Daniel Bellinger (three targets apiece) can do rather than the five-year veteran Golladay, so don't read too much into his lack of involvement Sunday.

Enjoys strong day in camp
Golladay enjoyed his best performance of training camp Thursday, Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports.
Analysis: Golladay made multiple difficult catches during practice, including a tough 40-yarder on an imperfect throw from Daniel Jones. The promising display is a nice turnaround since Golladay and the Giants' offense as a whole hasn't been all that sharp during camp. Golladay will carry high expectations this season as the presumptive WR1 in a new offensive system brought in by first-year head coach Brian Daboll.

One catch in preseason opener
Golladay caught one of three targets for six yards in Thursday's 23-21 preseason win over the Patriots.
Analysis: Golladay and starting quarterback Daniel Jones failed to connect twice on the opening drive, including on 3rd-and-6 from New England's seven-yard line. The veteran receiver finally got his hands on the ball to cap New York's second drive, gaining six yards on 3rd-and-18 before both Jones and Golladay subbed out for the remainder of the game. Locked in as a starting wide receiver for Big Blue, Golladay's likely to keep seeing modest usage throughout the preseason, including the team's home game…read more

Could see action in preseason opener
Coach Brian Daboll indicated Sunday that he's not inclined to rest any of his team's healthy players in Thursday's preseason opener against the Patriots, Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports. Golladay didn't play in the 2021 preseason due to a hamstring injury, but he's been able to practice of late.
Analysis: If Golladay can stay healthy and return to being a threat on contested catches downfield, Dan Dugganof The Athletic suggests that the 6-foot-4, 213-pounder can add a vertical dimension to the Giants offense this coming season. If that scenario plays out as hoped, Golladay -- who logged a 37-521-0 stat line in 14 games last year -- profiles as a fantasy bounce-back candidate while working as a key cog in a New York wide receiver corps that also includes Kadarius Toney (knee), Sterling Shepard…read more

Sheds red jersey at OTAs
Golladay (undisclosed) is practicing Thursday without a red jersey, Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports.
Analysis: Golladay spent nearly a week taking limited reps at OTAs while wearing a red jersey, but it now appears that he's back to full form. Coach Brian Daboll never disclosed the full details of Golladay's health, but it seems like he was only dealing with a minor injury. Now heading into the second season of his four-year, $72 million contract with the Giants, staying on the field will be a clear priority for Golladay as he works to establish himself as the No. 1 target for Daniel Jones.

Limited in practice
Coach Brian Daboll said Thursday that Golladay (undisclosed) is participating in OTAs while wearing a red jersey at practice, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Analysis: Daboll said Kadarius Toney (undisclosed) is also wearing a red jersey, but he opted not to comment further on either wideout's injuries. It's completely possible that the Giants are simply taking a cautious approach to the health of both Golladay and Toney, but the situation will warrant monitoring until more details are disclosed. Coming off a disappointing 2021 campaign in which he fought with injuries, only racking up a 37-521-0 line through 14 appearances, it will be key for Golladay to…read more

Finishes season with three catches
Golladay brought in three of five targets for 22 yards in the Giants' 22-7 loss to Washington on Sunday.
Analysis: The veteran tied for second in receptions on the afternoon despite his very modest tally, but it was emblematic of the state of the Giants' air attack under Jake Fromm. Golladay's first season in New York arguably couldn't have gone much worse relative to expectations, as the prized offseason addition finished with a 37-521 line over 14 games and never found the end zone. Poor quarterback play certainly helped sabotage Golladay's prospects, and he'll have to hope a return to health by Daniel…read more

One target, no catches
Golladay failed to haul in his lone target during Sunday's 29-3 road loss to the Bears.
Analysis: The Giants passing game is abominable, and no receiver on the team is worth a look unless you are beyond desperate. Jake Fromm will take over for Mike Glennon at quarterback for Week 18, but he's a long shot to make a difference.

Clear leader of WR group this week
The Giants may be down to Golladay and practice-squad call ups as their options at wide receiver Sunday in Chicago, Zack Rosenblatt of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Analysis: On the one hand, it works in favor of Golladay seeing more targets, following three straight games with exactly eight. On the other, it's yet another factor working against the Giants offense, which has been worst-in-the-league material throughout the second half of the season. Golladay hasn't topped three catches or 53 yards since Week 4, and he's unlikely to put up strong efficiency numbers with Jake Fromm and Mike Glennon at quarterback.

Another forgettable afternoon
Golladay brought in three of eight targets for 22 yards in the Giants' 34-10 loss to the Eagles on Sunday.
Analysis: Golladay was second on the team in receiving yards, but considering his actual total, that certainly qualifies as faint praise. The veteran offseason addition has unquestionably disappointed from both a football and fantasy sense during his first season in the Big Apple, but a significant chunk of the blame falls on the spotty play of the Giants' revolving door of quarterbacks. That was certainly a major factor in Sunday's meager production, and with either Jake Fromm or Mike Glennon slated to…read more

Leads team in receiving yards
Golladay brought in three of seven targets for 53 yards in the Giants' 21-6 loss to the Cowboys on Sunday.
Analysis: Golladay's receiving yardage total led the Giants on an afternoon during which Mike Glennon and Jake Fromm combined to throw for just 178 yards. The veteran's upside continues to be capped by the revolving door and sub-par play under center, and Sunday's yardage tally counts as his highest since Week 4. Golladay's prospects of boosting his production in a Week 16 road divisional clash against the Eagles appear bleak irrespective of who's throwing him the ball.

Two catches in Week 14
Golladay caught two passes for 15 yards on eight targets in Sunday's 37-21 loss to the Chargers.
Analysis: Much like his struggles in general over the 2021 season, Golladay can't be entirely blamed for his disappointing results against the Chargers. Golladay makes his living downfield and on the sideline, where replacement quarterback Mike Glennon is weakest as a passer, but 15 yards on eight targets is still difficult to accept. Perhaps Golladay won't get it going during his first year with the Giants, but his next shot is against the Cowboys in Week 15.

Suiting up Sunday

Analysis: Golladay gutted through a rib injury last Sunday in Miami, but he relayed after the 20-9 loss that an X-ray revealed no fractures. He proceeded to notch a pair of limited practices to cap Week 14 prep, and Adam Schefter of ESPN later reported that both Golladay and Sterling Shepard (quadriceps) were poised to play this weekend. Analysis: Golladay suffered an injury to his ribs in the Giants' Week 13 defeat to Miami. After logging limited practices both Thursday and Friday, Golladay appears on track to be active and not miss any full games. Even so, it will be important to check the official inactives prior to kickoff at 4:05 P.M. ET. Golladay has yet to truly get on track in New York, as he's surpassed five receptions in only one of his nine games this season and reached 50 yards only four times.

Daniel Jones took to the air only 20 times, and five different receivers saw multiple targets. Analysis: With fellow wideouts Sterling Shepard (hamstring) and Darius Slayton (hamstring) already out this week, the Giants' depth at the position is currently taxed. As a result, added Week 5 opportunities are available for Kadarius Toney, John Ross and C.J. Board. Prior to his exit Sunday, Golladay didn't have a catch.

Turns in full practice
Golladay (groin) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: After he was previously bothered by hamstring and hip injuries through the first four weeks of the season, Golladay's appearance on the Week 5 injury report with a new health concern wasn't the most encouraging sight. Fortunately, just like the other two injuries, the groin issue won't keep him on the sideline, as his return to full participation in practice puts him on track to play Sunday in Dallas. Now dealing with groin injury
Golladay was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a groin injury, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The groin issue is a new concern for Golladay after he dealt with hamstring and hip problems in September. Golladay at least looked healthy in Sunday's 27-21 win over the Saints, catching six of seven targets for 116 yards while playing 92 percent of snaps. He hasn't topped eight targets in a game yet, but that could be coming soon if Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard miss more time with hamstring injuries (both sat out Week 4 and failed to practice Wednesday). Tops century mark in upset win
Golladay caught six of seven targets for 116 yards in Sunday's 27-21 overtime win over the Saints.
Analysis: Golladay paced New York in receiving yards with fellow wideouts Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton both sidelined by hamstring injuries, though rookie Kadarius Toney ended up leading the team with nine targets. The former Lions wide receiver saved his most important play for overtime, gaining 23 yards to convert a 3rd-and-5 before Saquon Barkley sealed the win with a six-yard touchdown on the very next play. No injury designation
Golladay (hip) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in New Orleans, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Analysis: Golladay suited up last week after being a game-time decision, ultimatley catching four of five targets for 64 yards while playing 69 percent of snaps. Meanwhile, Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton left early with hamstring injuries, and both have been ruled out for Sunday's contest in New Orleans. Shadow coverage from Saints CB Marshon Lattimore seems even more likely with Shepard and Slayton out, but even if he's well covered, Golladay should see plenty of targets out of sheer necessity.

Limited in practice again
Golladay (hip) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: For the second week in a row, Golladay's hip injury is affecting his practice reps, but he at least appears to be in a better spot health-wise than fellow starting wideouts Sterling Shepard (hamstring) and Darius Slayton (hamstring). Both Shepard and Slayton didn't practice in any capacity Wednesday and Thursday and appear unlikely to play Sunday in New Orleans, while Golladay should have a good shot to suit up so long as he at least maintains limited activity in the Giants' final Week 4…read more

Limited at practice
Golladay was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to hip and toe injuries, Zack Rosenblatt of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Analysis: Golladay was a game-time decision ahead of Sunday's 17-14 loss to Atlanta, ultimately suiting up and catching four of five targets for 64 yards while playing 69 percent of snaps on offense. Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News suggests Golladay missed some plays after his toe got stepped on, though the wideout doesn't anticipate any further trouble with his foot. Receiving leader Sunday
Golladay caught four of five targets for 64 yards in Sunday's 17-14 loss to the Falcons.
Analysis: Golladay led the Giants in receiving yards and helped set up one of their touchdowns by drawing a pass-interference call in the end zone. Although the offseason signee is yet to score for New York himself, his output and efficiency Sunday was a welcomed sight after a down performance in Week 2. Furthermore, with fellow wideouts Darius Slayton (hamstring) and Sterling Shepard (hamstring) getting injured, Golladay could stand to benefit from a less crowded receiving corps next weekend versus the…read more

Golladay (hip) is listed as active Sunday against the Falcons, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: After the Giants limited his practice reps during Week 3 prep, Golladay entered the weekend as questionable to suit up. At the time, wide receivers coach Tyke Tolbert intimated Friday that Golladay's reps could be scaled back Sunday due to lack of conditioning stemming from his August hamstring issue, per Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News. Golladay (hip) made it through his pregame workout and is expected to play Sunday against the Falcons, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: There was some pessimism from New York beat writers after GM Dave Gettleman, HC Joe Judge, OC Jason Garrett and a few others met at midfield following the conclusion of Golladay's workout. It now appears the wideout will play, though WRs coach Tyke Tolbert cautioned Friday that Golladay could have his snaps scaled back. Reduced workload on tap?
Giants wide receivers coach Tyke Tolbert suggested Golladay (hip) may have his snaps scaled back if he plays in Sunday's game against Atlanta, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Analysis: Golladay played 85 and 84 percent of snaps in the Giants' first two games, bringing in seven of 14 targets for 102 yards. He's now listed as questionable and being treated as a game-time decision with a hip injury, though Tolbert mentioned Golladay's hamstring strain in August as an explanation for why his conditioning level "is not where it should be," per Pat Leonard of the NY Daily News. Headed for game-time decision
Golladay (hip) is a game-time decision, with his availability depending on how he looks/feels during a pregame workout, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: A Saturday report seemed more optimistic, while the latest update makes it sound like Golladay is closer to 50/50. The 6-foot-4 wideout was a limited practice participant Wednesday through Friday, and it remains to be seen if he's placed on the inactive list 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff with Atlanta. The Giants are optimistic that Golladay (hip) will suit up Sunday against the Falcons, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Big Blue is also optimistic that tight end Evan Engram (calf) will suit up for the first time this season. With its full complement of weapons available for the first time, New York's offense could be in line for a big game against a league-worst Falcons defense that's allowing 40 points per game, and Golladay should get more opportunities to put his big-play ability on display.

Analysis: Golladay managed limited practices Wednesday and Thursday and then ran routes Friday morning. That doesn't automatically mean he'll play, but it does appear there's a chance for Daniel Jones to have his full complement of pass catchers for the first time this season. Running routes at practice
Golladay (hip) ran routes during Friday's practice, Zack Rosenblatt of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Analysis: This seems to be a step forward, as Golladay didn't run routes during the portion of Thursday's practice that was open to the media. Of course, he may still be listed as a limited participant for the third day in a row, and there's a good chance the Giants deem him questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons. Golladay (hip) practiced on a limited basis Thursday, Zack Rosenblatt of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Analysis: Even though Golladay went down as a limited participant for the second day in a row, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News notes that the wideout was much less active in the open portion of practice Thursday compared to Wednesday. Golladay was limited in practice Wednesday due to a hip injury, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: Golladay was bothered by a hamstring injury throughout training camp, but he's been able to suit up for both of the Giants' contests to date, combining for seven catches (on 14 targets) for 102 yards. Now, a hip concern is impacting Golladay's practice reps. Fortunately for the fifth-year wide receiver, he has two more chances to get past the issue in advance of Sunday's game versus the Falcons.

Inefficient, quiet in loss
Golladay secured three of eight targets for 38 yards in the Giants' 30-29 loss to Washington on Thursday night.
Analysis: The prize offseason acquisition had put together a relatively nondescript season-opening four-catch, 64-yard tally in the Week 1 loss to the Broncos, and Thursday's production was a notable downturn. Golladay at least saw a slight bump in targets from the six he'd logged in the opener, and perhaps the poor catch rate on the night is simply a sign of still-developing chemistry with quarterback Daniel Jones. Solid in team debut
Golladay caught four of six targets for 64 yards in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Broncos.
Analysis: Making his regular-season debut for the Giants, Golladay finished second on the team in catches behind Sterling Shepard but third in targets and receiving yards, with Darius Slayton nudging ahead of him in each category. The trio, plus 2021 first-round pick Kadarius Toney, gives Daniel Jones plenty of downfield options, so Golladay could struggle to establish himself as the clear No. 1 wideout for his new club as he was in Detroit. Limited at practice
Golladay (hamstring) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: Golladay has been practicing for a little more than a week due to a hamstring injury that forced him to miss the majority of training camp and all of the preseason. Wednesday's activity included individual and some team drills, but it wasn't enough to get all the way back to full participation. Golladay (hamstring) took part in individual and some team drills at Wednesday's practice, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: Golladay got back on the practice field last week after missing most of training camp and the Giants' entire preseason slate due to a hamstring strain. Since then, he's been seen running routes at full speed, and his activity Wednesday indicates he's at least a limited participant to kick off Week 1 prep. Golladay, RB Saquon Barkley (knee) and WR Kadarius Toney (undisclosed) haven't practiced much this summer, but all appear tentatively on track for Week 1. The activity marked Golladay's first in a practice session since he injured his hamstring Aug. 3. Initially, it was believed the issue would keep him off the field for 2-3 weeks, but instead he missed the entire preseason slate, his first as a member of the Giants. Catches passes Tuesday
Golladay (hamstring) didn't suit up for practice Tuesday, but he was spotted on the field early catching passes from the Jugs machine, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The Giants are proceeding cautiously with Golladay, with an eye toward having the wideout ready for Week 1 action. Resumes on-field work
Golladay (hamstring) did some straight-line running at half speed during the Giants' Fan Fest at MetLife Stadium on Wednesday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: During practice last Tuesday, Golladay hurt his hamstring and was given an estimated recovery timeline of 2-to-3 weeks. Since then, his activity has been limited to being stationary while catching passes, so Wednesday's on-field work is a step in the right direction. There's little doubt Golladay will miss Saturday's preseason game against the Jets, but the aforementioned timeline gives him a chance to see action in one of the Giants' final two exhibitions.

Appears to injure hamstring
Golladay left Tuesday's practice with a possible hamstring injury, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: Golladay reportedly grabbed for his hamstring before walking off the field, stretching with the training staff and ultimately heading back to the locker room. It's a good sign he didn't need to be helped off the field, but the 27-year-old wideout does figure to miss out on some practice reps with QB Daniel Jones. Golladay (hip) didn't participate in Tuesday's practice.
Analysis: Given that Golladay hasn't practiced in any capacity since Week 12 along with the fact that the 5-9 Lions have been eliminated from the postseason, he looks increasingly likely to be shut down for the season. The Lions will take a week-to-week approach with Golladay for now, but at this stage, the wideout appears to have slim odds of suiting up Saturday against the Buccaneers.

Won't play this week
Golladay (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Titans.
Analysis: Interim head coach Darrell Bevell admitted Friday that the Lions may soon discuss shutting down Golladay for the rest of the season. The team hasn't technically been eliminated from the playoffs, but that should be coming soon enough. Golladay hasn't played in a game since Week 8 and hasn't logged any level of practice participation since Week 12.

Chance to be shut down
Lions interim head coach Darrell Bevell admitted Friday that Golladay (hip) is in danger of missing the remainder of the season, Chris Burke of The Athletic reports. "I think that's a conversation that's coming," Bevell said, when asked whether Golladay would be shut down.
Analysis: The 27-year-old has yet to be officially ruled out for Sunday's game at Tennessee, but Bevell's comments are a pretty clear indication that Golladay won't be available. Golladay hasn't played since Week 8 due to the hip injury and hasn't practiced in nearly a month, so it's not much of a surprise the 5-8 Lions are considering shutting him down with only a few weeks left in the regular season. Doesn't practice Thursday
Golladay (hip) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice.
Analysis: Golladay's inability to participate in the portion of practice open to the media ultimately forecast his absence Thursday. In fact, he hasn't taken the practice field in any capacity since Week 12. At this point, Golladay seems on a path to his seventh absence in a row Sunday at Tennessee, which would set up Marvin Jones, Mohamed Sanu, Danny Amendola and Quintez Cephus for elevated roles.

Spectating at practice
Golladay (hip) didn't participate in drills during the portion of Thursday's practice that was open to the media, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Golladay hasn't practiced on even a limited basis since Week 12, and at this point, the wideout is looking like a potential shutdown candidate for a 5-8 Lions squad that could soon be eliminated from playoff contention. At the very least, Golladay looks on track to miss Sunday's game against the Titans, which would mark his seventh straight absence. Expect the Lions to make an official call on Golladay's Week 15 status following Friday's practice.

Golladay (hip) won't practice Wednesday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis: Golladay's continued absence from practice isn't a promising early sign for his chances of playing Sunday against the Titans. Golladay (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Packers, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Analysis: Interim coach Darrell Bevell mentioned the possibility of Golladay having a limited role in Sunday's game if he looked good at Friday's practice. However, Golladay was listed as a non-participant, just as he had been each of the last five Fridays. He's now set to miss a sixth consecutive game, leaving Marvin Jones and T.J. May be limited if available
Coach Darrell Bevell said Golladay (hip) could have a limited role Sunday against the Packers depending on how he looks in practice Friday, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: It remains unclear if the 27-year-old will participate at Friday's practice, so he could end up being ruled out for a sixth straight game. Even if he's available Week 14, Golladay appears unlikely to be 100 percent, which would make him a risky fantasy option. If he's unable to play, Marvin Jones, Danny Amendola and Mohamed Sanu will continue to lead the receiving corps.

Golladay (hip) won't practice Wednesday, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Analysis: Kyle Meinke of MLive.com previously relayed that the wideout was spotted doing sprints in the end zone before the Lions' Week 13 win over the Bears, but Golladay doesn't look like he's ready to join the main group for practice. He'll have two more chances to upgrade his activity in practice this week, but Golladay's absence Wednesday doesn't bode well for his odds of suiting up Sunday against the Packers.

Seen sprinting Sunday
Golladay (hip), who won't play Sunday in Chicago, was spotted doing sprints in the end zone pregame, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.
Analysis: Golladay will log his fifth DNP in row Sunday -- and seventh overall this season -- but the aforementioned activity is a sign that he's drawing close to a return. In the five games in which he's been active this season, he's averaged 6.4 targets per game on his way to a 20-338-2 line. On Sunday, though, the Lions will go with Marvin Jones, Danny Amendola, Quintez Cephus and Mohamed Sanu at wide receiver.

Won't return Week 13
Golladay (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest at Chicago, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Analysis: After failing to get on the practice field this week, Golladay will miss his fifth consecutive game as a result of a hip injury. Without their No. 1 wide receiver, the Lions will turn to Marvin Jones, Danny Amendola and Marvin Hall to fuel the team's passing attack.

Still no activity at practice
Golladay (hip) didn't take part in practice Thursday, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.
Analysis: Golladay gave a glimmer of hope that he was inching toward a return when he logged a limited practice Nov. 23. Since then, though, he hasn't got on the field at all over the last five sessions. Clearly, Golladay's hip injury is a hindrance and may force a fifth DNP in a row Sunday at Chicago. If that comes to pass, Marvin Jones, Danny Amendola (hip) and Marvin Hall are set to be the leading wide receivers for the Lions.

Absent for another practice
Golladay (hip) wasn't in attendance for Thursday's practice and looks set to go down as a non-participant on the Lions' official report, aKyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.
Analysis: Since being listed as a limited participant on Detroit's estimated practice report Nov. 23, Golladay hasn't logged any activity in any of the team's subsequent four sessions. The wideout thus appears to have taken a step back in his recovery from the hip injury that has sidelined him for four consecutive games. Unless Golladay returns to the field in some capacity Friday, he won't have much hope of being available for this weekend's game in Chicago.

His absence may extend beyond Sunday to a fourth game, as the Lions will be on short rest for their Thanksgiving Day contest against Houston in Week 12. Analysis: Back-to-back absences don't bode very well for Golladay's chances of playing Sunday against Washington. If he remains out this weekend, Marvin Jones, Marvin Hall and Danny Amendola will once again work as the Lions' top three wide receivers, with rookie Quintez Cephus also in the mix.

During Sunday's loss to Minnesota, Detroit rolled with Marvin Jones, Marvin Hall and Danny Amendola as its top three wide receivers, with rookie Quintez Cephus mixing in on occasion. Golladay (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Minnesota, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Analysis: Golladay's inability to practice in any capacity this week suggests he's in danger of missing time beyond Sunday. Marvin Hall replaced Golladay in last week's loss to the Colts, finishing the afternoon with four catches for a team-high 113 yards on seven targets. Game-high receiving total in win
Golladay corralled six of his seven targets for 114 receiving yards during Sunday's 23-22 win against the Falcons.
Analysis: Though Golladay was held without a touchdown for a second consecutive outing, he has totaled 219 receiving yards on 10 combined catches the past two weeks. The offensive workload has, non surprisingly, remained consistent for the reigning Pro Bowler, as he's averaged seven targets per game through four appearances. Golladay caught six of seven targets for 57 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 26-23 win over the Cardinals.
Analysis: Making his season debut, Golladay finished first on the team in catches and receiving yards while tying for the lead in targets. He didn't break off many big gains but did make an excellent leaping catch for a touchdown just before halftime. Golladay (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against Chicago, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Analysis: After injuring his hamstring in Wednesday's practice, Golladay was held out Thursday and Friday. His absence leaves Marvin Jones as Detroit's No. 1 receiver, while Quintez Cephus and Marvin Hall could step in for the snaps Golladay normally takes. The Lions might also find more targets for TE T.J. Hockenson and slot man Danny Amendola, though the latter is dealing with a hamstring injury of his own.

Doubtful for Week 1
Golladay (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Bears, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Analysis: After injuring his hamstring in Wednesday's practice, Golladay was held out Thursday and Friday. His likely absence leaves Marvin Jones as Detroit's No. 1 receiver, while Quintez Cephus and Marvin Hall could step in for the snaps Golladay normally takes. The Lions might also find more targets for TE T.J. Hockenson and slot man Danny Amendola, though the latter is listed as questionable with a hamstring injury of his own.

Out or limited at Friday's practice
Coach Matt Patricia said Golladay (hamstring) is expected to be "out or very limited" at practice Friday, Chris Burke of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The 26-year-old tweaked his hamstring at practice Wednesday and was unable to participate at Thursday's session, and his status appears mostly unchanged for Friday. Patricia also said Golladay will be at practice and they will "see what he can do," which is hardly an encouraging outlook heading into the final practice of the week. His availability for Sunday's season opener against the Bears will receive additional clarity when the Lions release their official injury report later in the day.

Listed as DNP in Thursday's session
Updating a previous report, the Lions listed Golladay (hamstring) as a non-participant in Thursday's practice.
Analysis: According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, coach Matt Patricia reportedly said that Golladay would go down as a limited participant in Thursday's practice after tweaking his hamstring in Wednesday's session, but the Lions' official injury report told a different story. According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, Golladay was only able to do some light individual work in the portion of practice that was open to the media, so he'll likely need to fit in some more activity at Friday's practice…read more

Working through hamstring issue
Lions head coach Matt Patricia said Golladay (hamstring) would be a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Patricia noted Golladay tweaked his hamstring in Wednesday's practice, which explains why the wideout was also listed as a limited participant on the Lions' first injury report of 2020. According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, Golladay wasn't doing much in his individual drills in front of the media, a discouraging sign with Sunday's season opener with the Bears rapidly approaching. The Lions will see if Golladay can fit in more on-field work in their final practice session Friday,…read more

Nursing hamstring injury
Golladay was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a hamstring injury.
Analysis: Golladay didn't appear to be hampered by any injuries during training camp, so it's possible that the Lions are simply being cautious with the star wideout. He'll have two more opportunities to practice in full and shed his injury designation ahead of Sunday's season opener against Chicago. Fellow starting wideout Danny Amendola (hamstring) is also limited to start the week.

High expectations
Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell expects continued growth from Golladay in 2020, Michael Rothstein of ESPN reports. "There's specific things we're talking to him [about] that can take his game to the next level," Bevell said. "You really want him to be thought of with those upper-echelon guys like [DeAndre] Hopkins and [Michael] Thomas -- players who really dictate to the defense how they have to cover."
Analysis: While most reports of public support for a coach's own player are a dime a dozen, Bevell might have a point with Golladay, who was markedly more efficient in most receiving categories under Bevell in 2019 than by ex-OC Jim Bob Cooter in 2018. Now entering his second year in Bevell's system, Golladay could benefit from the continuity of being in the same offense that allowed the 26-year-old to lead the NFL with 36 targets on throws 20 or more yards downfield. However, potential investors in…read more

Reinstated from COVID-19 list
The Lions activated Golladay from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday.
Analysis: Golladay spent a week on the list before gaining clearance for team activities. The brief absence shouldn't have any impact at this early stage of the Lions' program, and Golladay remains a decent bet to sign a contract extension before Week 1. The 26-year-old wideout is entering the fourth and final season of his rookie contract.

Placed on COVID-19 list
Golladay was placed on the Lions' reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis: Along with Golladay, tight end T.J. Hockenson was added to Detroit's COVID-19 list, with the duo's placement meaning both have either tested positive for COVID-19 or have been in close contact with an infected person. Golladay approaches the 2020 season as the Lions' top wide receiver.

Candidate for contract extension
Golladay is a candidate for a contract extension this offseason, Chris Burke of the Athletic reports.
Analysis: Detroit's future at wide receiver isn't clear with each of Golladay, Marvin Jones and Danny Amendola under contact for no more than one more season. Extending Golladay thus seems like a no-brainer, and it seems likely that the Lions will also bring in a young body at the position through the draft or free agency.

Leads Pro Bowl in receiving
Golladay (concussion) caught three passes for a game-high 109 yards during the Pro Bowl on Sunday.
Analysis: Golladay rebounded from a Week 17 head injury to play in the NFL's all-star game. He otherwise enjoyed a healthy season, playing all 16 games and leading the league with 11 touchdown receptions. Golladay scored seven TDs and averaged 80 yards per game in eight appearances with Matt Stafford (hip/back) at quarterback, compared to four touchdowns and 68.8 yards over the final eight games of the season. Stafford anticipates being healthy before the start of the offseason program in mid-April.

Concussion confirmed
Golladay won't return to Sunday's contest against the Packers due to a concussion.
Analysis: With a diagnosis confirmed, Golladay's day and therefore campaign is in the books. He built upon his 2018 breakout this year, hauling in 65 of 116 passes for 1,190 yards and 11 touchdowns. He'll look to take an even bigger step forward next season with Matthew Stafford likely past the fractures in his back that kept him sidelined from Week 10 onward.

Being evaluated for concussion
Golladay is under evaluation for a concussion during Sunday's game versus the Packers.
Analysis: It's unclear when exactly Golladay suffered the head injury, but he was removed during the second quarter. If he's unable to return, he'll cap the campaign with a 3-72-0 line on four targets. Danny Amendola, Chris Lacy and Travis Fulgham are the Lions' healthy wide receivers at the moment.

Tallies Detroit's lone offensive TD
Golladay hauled in six of 12 targets for 66 receiving yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 27-17 loss to the Broncos.
Analysis: The 26-year-old wideout was not selected to his first Pro Bowl roster this week, but Golladay has already bested his previous personal best in receiving yards by 55 while more than doubling his previous career high in TDs with one game still remaining on the regular-season slate. Though his ceiling is undoubtedly capped with Matthew Stafford (back) on injured reserve, Golladay is meriting the requisite target share to remain profitable in fantasy. He's averaged nine targets per game over his…read more

Trio of grabs in loss
Golladay secured three of seven targets for 44 yards in the Lions' 38-17 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Analysis: Golladay checked in third in receptions and receiving yards on the afternoon for the Lions, as the receiver was the subject of plenty of defensive attention with Marvin Jones (IR-ankle) out of action. Golladay certainly figures to have a difficult time maximizing his potential if he's forced to play with Blough as his quarterback over the final two games, which appears increasingly likely considering Matthew Stafford (back/hip) has yet to return to practice.

Finds end zone again
Golladay hauled in six of his eight targets for 58 yards and a touchdown in the team's Week 14 loss to the Vikings.
Analysis: Golladay was one of the few offensive sparks for the Lions, leading the team in receptions, receiving yards and scoring their lone touchdown. The majority of his production came late in the contest, as he had just two receptions for 22 yards prior to halftime. Despite playing with third-string quarterback David Blough for the past two games, Golladay has combined to post over 200 yards with a pair of scores. He'll look to keep things going Week 15, as the team takes on an exploitable Buccaneers…read more

Productive with third-string QB
Golladay caught four of five targets for 158 yards and a touchdown during Thursday's 24-20 loss to Chicago.
Analysis: One can be forgiven for considering benching Golladay given Detroit's murky quarterback situation, as few expected third-string quarterback David Blough to play as well as he did Thursday. After all, the majority of Golladay's production came on a 75-yard pass during the first drive of the game, and Golladay couldn't have been any more wide open than he was on that particular play. We'll simply need a larger sample size to understand if the Blough-to-Golladay connection is legit. To that end,…read more

Picks up 61 yards in loss
Golladay caught all four of his targets for 61 yards during Sunday's 19-16 loss to Washington.
Analysis: Golladay was held in check for much of Sunday, but he showed off some big-play ability early in the second quarter, taking a quick out and sprinting up the sideline for a 34-yard gain to set up a Lions field goal. Golladay has still managed to make big plays with Jeff Driskel in for Matthew Stafford (back) over the past three weeks, but there's no question that the third-year receiver misses his starting quarterback. Golladay topped 115 yards receiving in four of eight contests with Stafford…read more

Held to one catch vs. Cowboys
Golladay caught one of five targets for 34 yards during Sunday's 35-27 loss to the Cowboys.
Analysis: Although Golladay tied for the team lead in targets, he struggled to connect with Jeff Driskel en route to his third-lowest yardage total of the season. He made a spectacular play on his lone reception, which was his team's second-longest gain from scrimmage, but he made little to no impact outside of that contribution. Golladay's production seems likely to fluctuate for as long as Matthew Stafford (back) is out of the lineup, but he could have opportunities to bounce back next week against the…read more

Avoids dud with long TD
Golladay caught three of nine targets for 57 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-13 loss to the Bears.
Analysis: Fill-in quarterback Jeff Driskel wasn't exactly efficient when targeting Golladay, but the wide receiver was able to salvage his day with a 47-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter. While Golladay's value will take a hit if Matt Stafford (back) continues to sit out, he's too talented to bench and now has eight touchdowns in nine games this season.

Missing starting QB in Week 10
Golladay will be catching passes from backup quarterback Jeff Driskel on Sunday against the Bears with Matthew Stafford (back) inactive for the contest.
Analysis: Golladay's fantasy outlook, along with that of the rest of his skill-position teammates, naturally takes a sizable hit with Stafford out of action. Driskel does have starting experience, having logged nine games under center with the Bengals last season during which he generated a 6:2 TD:INT and threw for 1,003 yards overall. However, a last-minute spot start against the Bears at Soldier Field figures to be a difficult assignment, even with Chicago's defense not playing at the same level as…read more

Sets season high in yardage
Golladay caught four of seven targets for 132 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Raiders.
Analysis: After getting off to a bit of a slow start, Golladay made his presence felt with a 59-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter. He made a couple of other big plays and finished averaging 33.0 yards per catch while setting a season high in yardage. Golladay has been excellent over the last four games, averaging 99.3 receiving yards per game while scoring three times in that span. He'll look to keep it up next Sunday against the Bears.
