Moves to IR
The Lions placed Badgley (hamstring) on injured reserve Saturday.
Analysis: Badgley tore his hamstring during practice Thursday and will be out for the entire 2024 campaign. The veteran was slated to compete for the opportunity to be Detroit's kicker for the upcoming campaign, so the team will likely bring another kicker into training camp to push Jake Bates for the role. Bates was signed by the Lions in June after a record-setting performance in the UFL this spring, but he's yet to take a snap in the NFL.

Suffers season-ending injury
Badgley suffered a season-ending hamstring injury during Thursday's practice, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: A torn hamstring during the first week of training camp will end Badgley's season before it really began, with the Lions reportedly planning to place him on injured reserve in the coming days. Jake Bates, a 2023 UDFA and breakout performer with the UFL's Michigan Panthers this past spring, is left as the only kicker on the roster, but it presumably won't be long before the team brings in some competition. Whoever ends up winning the job could have fantasy value even if they're inexperienced, as…read more

Re-signs with Lions
Badgley is re-signing with the Lions on a one-year contract, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Badgley spent much of 2023 on Detroit's practice squad before eventually replacing a struggling Riley Patterson for the final four games of the regular season and the playoffs. Badgley converted each of his seven field-goal attempts and 24 of 26 PATs after taking over, but he'll likely have to compete with Patterson or another kicker to win the job in 2024.

Converts four field goals in 2023
Badgley converted four of four field-goal attempts and 13 of 15 PATs over four games in 2023.
Analysis: Once Detroit lost patience with Riley Patterson after missing two PATs in three games, Badgley was brought in with mixed results. Not only did he miss two PATs in his four regular-season games, the strong-legged kicker only converted one field goal from over 40 yards over this stretch with just one more from at least this range over three postseason games. Now set to become an unrestricted free agent, Badgley is not locked in as Detroit's starting kicker entering the 2024 campaign.

Another missed PAT
Badgley converted his lone field-goal attempt and three of four PATs during Sunday's 30-20 win over the Vikings.
Analysis: While Badgley remains perfect on field-goal tries this year, he missed an extra-point attempt for the second time in three weeks. The Miami (Fla.) product thus finishes the regular season with four field goals and 12 PATs in four games for Detroit -- numbers that reflect the Lions' success in ending drives with touchdowns down the stretch. Badgley will look to tack on more production against the Rams in the NFC wild card round.

Converts two field goals
Badgley converted both of his field-goal attempts and his lone PAT during Saturday's 20-19 loss to Dallas.
Analysis: After missing an extra-point try last week in Minnesota, Badgley redeemed himself with a flawless game that could have been bigger if not for Detroit's aggressiveness on fourth down and two-point attempts. The strong-legged Badgley will again have some upside as a fantasy option when the Lions' high-powered offense returns home for a regular-season finale against the Vikings in Week 18.

Signed to active roster
The Lions signed Badgley to the active roster from their practice squad Friday.
Analysis: Badgley was eligible for his third and final elevation ahead of Saturday's game at Dallas, but Detroit opted to sign him to the active roster outright, signifying its confidence in the placekicker for the final two outings of the regular season and however long the team lasts in the playoffs. In two games to date, he's netted his only field-goal attempt (37 yards) and struck true on nine of 10 point-after tries.

Badgley reverted to the Lions' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Analysis: For a second game in a row, Badgley jumped up from Detroit's practice squad to serve as the team's placekicker Sunday at Minnesota. In the end, he made his only field-goal attempt (37 yards) and three of four point-after tries. With Riley Patterson out of the picture after the Lions waived him last week, Badgley is poised to handle kicking duties while attached to a productive offense moving forward. Bumps up from practice squad
The Lions elevated Badgley from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Sunday's game at Minnesota.
Analysis: Badgley swapped in for Riley Patterson as Detroit's placekicker last Saturday against the Broncos and made all six point-after tries presented to him. The team then waived Patterson on Tuesday, paving the way for Badgley to handle all kicking duties for the Lions moving forward. After Sunday, Detroit can elevate Badgley one more time before needing to sign him to the active roster, but it could clear up any questions about his standing by doing so in advance of Week 17 action.

Takes over kicking gig
Badgley is the only placekicker on the Lions' roster after the team waived Riley Patterson on Tuesday.
Analysis: Badgley has resided on Detroit's practice squad all season, but he was elevated Saturday and served as the team's kicker for a Week 16 win over the Broncos. Patterson was inactive for that contest and now finds himself in search of a new squad. While Badgley was tasked with only six point-after tries Saturday, he struck true on 20 of 24 field-goal attempts in 12 games for the Lions in 2022. He has two elevations remaining before the team will need to sign him to the active roster.

Goes back to practice squad
Badgley reverted to the Lions' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Analysis: Despite having Riley Patterson on the active roster, Detroit elevated Badgley from the practice squad ahead of Saturday's game against the Broncos. Badgley then was active over Patterson and handled all the kicking duties, including netting all six point-after tries. It's unclear if Badgley will continue to work as the Lions' placekicker Sunday at Minnesota, but he'll need to bump up from the practice squad Saturday in order to have a chance to do so.

Perfect on PATs
Badgley converted six of six PATs during Saturday's 42-17 win over Denver.
Analysis: After losing out in training camp to Riley Patterson due to Patterson's superior short-range accuracy, Badgley reclaimed the placekicking role in Week 15. This change followed Patterson's two missed extra-point attempts over the past three games. According to Jeff Risdon of USA Today, head coach Dan Campbell explained that Badgley and Patterson had been competing in practice for several weeks. Swapping in for Patterson
Badgley is active for Saturday's game against the Broncos.
Analysis: Riley Patterson had served as the Lions' placekicker for the first 13 contests of the season, but he's been usurped by Badgley for Week 15 after the latter was elevated from the practice squad earlier Saturday. Badgley made 12 appearances for Detroit last season, connecting on 20 of 24 field-goal attempts and all 33 point-after tries for a respectable 7.8 points per game.

Joins active roster
Badgley was elevated to the Lions' active roster Saturday.
Analysis: It's unclear if Badgley is simply an insurance policy for Riley Patterson, or if the aforementioned starter may be losing his grip on the starting job after missing an extra-point attempt in two of the past three weeks. Badgley last kicked for the Lions and Bears last season, when he converted 24 of his 28 field-goal attempts and 10 of 13 attempts from 40-plus yards out.

Badgley signed with the Lions' practice squad Wednesday, Tim Twentyman of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Badgley was cut by the Titans on Sunday after converting three of four field goal attempts in Tennessee's preseason finale against the Patriots. prior to his brief stint in Tennessee, Badgley began training camp with the Commanders, but was waived Aug. 20 when Washington opted to go with Joey Slye as their kicker. Gets cut loose
Badgley was released by the Titans on Sunday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Badgley's exit will leave Tennessee without a kicker on their roster. The 28-year-old handled kicking duties in the team's preseason contest with the Patriots on Friday, making three of four field-goal attempts and both extra-point tries. However, the Titans seemingly feel as though they can find a better option before their Week 1 matchup with the Saints on Sunday, Sept. 10.

Solid debut with Titans
Badgley made three of his four field-goal attempts and both of his extra-point attempts in Friday's preseason game against the Patriots.
Analysis: Badgley signed with the Titans on Tuesday. He made his first two kicks, which were field goals from 44 and 27 yards away. Badgley then missed his next attempt but bounced back and turned in an overall solid performance. Tennessee has been searching for a steady kicker this offseason, and Badgley took a step toward proving he's a capable option.

Slated to kick for Tennessee
The Titans signed Badgley on Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: After being let go by the Commanders, Badgley -- who spent time with both the Lions and Bears last year -- has quickly resurfaced and now appears poised to start the 2023 season as the Titans' kicker. The Commanders plan to release Badgley on Sunday, a source tells Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Analysis: Badgley's dismissal leaves Joey Slye as the lone kicker on Washington's roster, though the Commanders could still look to bring in some outside competition before the preseason comes to a close. After converting on all 33 of his extra-point tries and 24 of 28 field-goal attempts over 13 games between the Bears and Lions in 2022, Badgley joined the Commanders on a one-year deal in Washington in July. Signs on with Washington
The Commanders signed Badgley on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Badgley was surprisingly cut by the Lions last week, but he quickly lands on his feet in Washington, where he'll compete with fellow veteran Joey Slye. Badgley is coming off a strong year where he made 20 of 24 field goals and all 33 of his extra points in 2022. Slye, meanwhile, went 25-of-30 on his field goals and missed four extra points last season. Badgley should be viewed as the slight favorite to win the job this summer, as Slye has been on a short leash in D.C.

Getting cut by Detroit
The Lions are slated to release Badgley, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Badgley made 20 of 24 field-goal attempts (83.3 percent) and all 33 of his PATs in 12 games for Detroit last season, later re-signing with the team this spring. He nonetheless became expendable after the Lions traded for Riley Patterson, who made 30 of 35 FGAs (85.7 percent) and 36 of 37 PATs (97.3 percent) for the Jaguars last year. Furthermore, the Lions have K John Parker Romo, a former Virginia Tech kicker who made 17 of 19 FGAs in the XFL earlier this year. It won't be surprising if…read more

Badgley and the Lions agreed to a contract Friday, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.
Analysis: Badgley joined the Lions in early October and was still able to tally 100 points while serving as the placekicker for the team's final 12 games. He'll now return to Detroit for the 2023 campaign, one that many expect to be a leap forward for the Lions after a promising 2022.

Reaches 100 points in 2022
Badgley converted two of three field-goal attempts and both of his PATs during Sunday's 20-16 loss to Detroit.
Analysis: Badgley missed wide left on a 46-yard attempt but otherwise received enough opportunities to top 100 points for the season. Now set to hit unrestricted free agency after putting together an impressive season between 13 total games with the Bears and Lions, Badgley is a strong candidate -- but not a lock -- to return to Detroit in 2023.

Totals 11 points
Badgley converted two of two field-goal attempts and five of five PATs during Sunday's 41-10 win over the Bears.
Analysis: Following three consecutive weeks with at least three field-goal tries, Badgley has attempted just three over his past two games combined. At least he was fed a healthy amount of PATs this time around to buoy his fantasy output. Next up for Badgley is a Week 18 matchup with a beatable Packers defense within the outdoor confines of Lambeau Field.

Little work on Christmas Eve
Badgley converted his only field-goal attempt and two of two PATs during Saturday's 37-23 loss to the Panthers.
Analysis: In a weird day for Detroit's offense, the passing game remained on fire, but the complete lack of a run game made it hard for the Lions to consistently get into scoring position. This led to a lack of opportunities for Badgley, who didn't attempt a field goal until the final minute of the game and was hindered along the way by both a Lions red-zone fumble plus Detroit's decision to go for two after a touchdown in the first half. Three more field-goal attempts
Badgley converted two of three field-goal attempts and two of two PATs during Sunday's 20-17 win over the Jets.
Analysis: In three games since the Detroit offense has returned to full health, Badgley has racked up 10 field-goal attempts and 10 PATs, putting him up with the top producers at his position. Badgley has made eight of those field goals while only missing from beyond 40 yards (including one from 54 yards out Sunday). Posts 10 points against Vikings
Badgley converted two of three field-goal attempts and four of four PATs during Sunday's 34-23 win over Jacksonville.
Analysis: Badgley followed up a huge Week 13 performance against the Jaguars with another solid stat line, thanks again to the offensive firepower of a fully healthy Lions offense. With that said, he could have had a bigger day had he not missed a 47-yard attempt at the end of the first half. He'll look to improve upon this performance in a Week 15 outdoors matchup in New York against the Jets.

Monster day against Jaguars
Badgley converted four of four field-goal attempts and four of four PATs during Sunday's 41-14 win over Jacksonville.
Analysis: The Lions offense has promptly returned to the high-scoring ways they flashed in September now that the unit is practically back to full health. While Badgley won't have these sorts of monster outings every week, he should have the upside to do so most games down the stretch given Detroit's relatively soft schedule. Up next is a Week 14 Ford Field showdown in Minnesota.

First miss of season
Badgley converted one of two field-goal attempts and both of his PATs during Thursday's 28-25 loss to Buffalo.
Analysis: Badgley was 10-for-10 on field-goal attempts before shanking a 29-yard attempt in the third quarter. He somewhat redeemed himself in the fourth quarter by nailing a game-tying 51-yard kick with 23 seconds left in regulation. Now that Detroit's offense is getting back on track after a mid-season, injury-induced offensive lull, fantasy managers could do worse at kicker than Badgley in a Week 13 matchup with the Jaguars.

Held to one FGA
Badgley converted his only field-goal attempt and all four PATs during Sunday's 31-18 win over the Giants.
Analysis: The good news is that the Lions offense is doing well in the returns of D'Andre Swift and DJ Chark (ankle). However, for a second week in a row, the unit was too efficient for Badgley to put together a monster fantasy day. It is possible it could all come together for him in Week 12 if a tough Buffalo defense can force Detroit into more field-goal attempts.

Provides winning kick
Badgley made his only field-goal attempt and all four of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 31-30 win over the Bears.
Analysis: Badgley clinched Detroit's second straight victory with a PAT with just over two minutes remaining. He made a 25-yard field goal earlier in the contest, ultimately totaling seven points after posting merely one in Week 9.

Minimal opportunities
Badgley did not attempt a field goal but converted his only PAT during Sunday's 15-9 win over Green Bay.
Analysis: After three productive games to begin the year, Badgley didn't get much to work with on a day the Lions put up just 254 yards of total offense. It obviously didn't help that Detroit went for two after one of its touchdowns. While Badgley has shown to have some upside in this Lions offense, he will be hard to trust in a Week 10 outdoor game against the Bears in Chicago.

Another solid performance
Badgley converted two of two field-goal attempts and three of three PATs during Sunday's 31-27 loss to the Dolphins.
Analysis: Badgley may need to start handling kickoff duties to become a candidate for being Detroit's long-term answer at kicker, but he otherwise has been solid for the Lions through two games. The Miami product converted field goals from 26 and 42 yards out in this one and is now a perfect 8-for-8 on the year thanks to a four-field-goal showing he had with Chicago earlier in the season. Badgley will look to stay mistake-free in a potential Week 9 shootout against the Packers.

Drills 53-yard field goal
Badgley converted two of two field-goal attempts during Sunday's 24-6 loss to the Cowboys.
Analysis: Badgley converted field goals from 40 and 53 yards out in what amounted to Detroit's only points of the game. However, Detroit's five offensive turnovers prevented the team from ending any other drives on a positive note. However, the practice-squad kicker did not get a chance to attempt a field goal against the Patriots due to the Lions' lack of offensive production in Week 5. The Lions waived Austin Seibert (groin) on Friday, making Badgley the likely kicker this Sunday against New England, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis: Badgley spent three years with the Chargers before splitting time between the Colts and Titans last season. The Lions signed him to the practice squad Tuesday after cutting Dominik Eberle, who was a disaster filling in for an injured Seibert in the Week 4 loss to Seattle. Badgley was perfect on four field-goal attempts in the Bears' 20-12 loss to the Giants on Sunday.

Badgley was signed to the Bears' practice squad Saturday and immediately elevated to the active roster with Cairo Santos (personal) not set to travel with the team for Sunday's contest against the Giants.
Analysis: The Bears still have Santos listed as questionable despite the fact he's not traveling with the team to New York, but given the move to immediately elevate Badgley from the practice squad, it sure seems as if the veteran will make his 2022 debut for Chicago. Badgley played in 13 games last season with the Colts and Titans, converting 18 of his 22 tries. With possible rainy conditions on the horizon, don't expect the 27-year-old to have a ton of opportunities if he does ultimately end up…read more

Converts only kick in season finale
Badgley converted his only field-goal attempt from 41 yards in Sunday's loss at Jacksonville.
Analysis: Badley made 18 of 21 field-goal attempts and all 39 extra-point attempts in 12 games after joining the Colts midseason. Badgley missed his only field goal while playing for the Titans in 2021 before signing with the Colts and replacing an injured Rodrigo Blankenship. Badgley performed well enough for the Colts to consider retaining him for 2022, but Blankenship is under contract for one more season. It's not clear what the Colts will do at placekicker for next season.

Badgley converted both field-goal attempts from 41 and 46 yards and both extra-point attempts in Sunday's loss to Las Vegas.

Bounces back after early miss
Badgley made two of his three field-goal attempts and both of his extra-point tries during Saturday's 22-16 win over the Cardinals.
Analysis: At the start of the second quarter, Badgley left a 53-yard attempt short. However, he bounced back to nail a 41-yard field goal as time expired in the first half. He then capped off a 10-play, 56-yard drive with a 37-yard attempt that gave the Colts a 15-13 lead at the end of the third quarter. Badgley has now missed at least one field goal in each of the last three contests, but coach Frank Reich has remained confident in the 26-year-old.

Job safe for now
Coach Frank Reich said the Colts are not anticipating replacing Badgley as the team's kicker, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
Analysis: Badgley missed a 49-yard field goal Saturday against New England, but he did make 41 and 25-yard attempts. Despite a decent showing, it was Badgley's second consecutive contest with a missed field-goal. The team can't afford shaky play from its kicker while in the midst of a playoff bid, though it appears the Colts still have faith in Badgley for the time being.

Misses first field goal with Colts
Badgley made one of his two field-goal attempts and all four of his extra-point tries during Sunday's 31-0 win over the Texans.
Analysis: Badgley missed a 35-yard attempt wide left in the first quarter, but he was able to bounce back in the second half to connect on a 23-yarder. Rodrigo Blankenship (hip) remains without a timetable to return, but given the Colts' Week 14 bye, he has a lot of time to recover before Indianapolis returns to action Dec. 18. If Badgley remains the starter in Week 15, he could be in line for a solid workload against the Patriots' stout defense.

Converts four kicks
Badgley converted his lone field-goal attempt while making three extra-point tries in Sunday's 38-31 loss to the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Badgley has been effective while filling in for Rodrigo Blankenship (hip) across the last seven games, and he's converted all 10 of his field-goal attempts while making each of his 28 extra-point tries since joining the Colts. Blankenship doesn't yet have a timetable to return, so Badgley will attempt to remain productive Sunday against the Texans.

The Colts elevated Badgley from their practice squad Tuesday.
Analysis: Badgley was promoted to the active roster ahead of Sunday's win over the Texans and kicked well enough, knocking home his lone field-goal attempt and all four of his extra-point attempts. Will fill in against Houston
Badgley will be elevated from the practice squad Sunday against Houston to take the place of Rodrigo Blankenship (hip), JJ Stankevitz of the Colts' official site reports.
Analysis: Badgley started the season with the Titans but was let go after a poor Week 1 performance in which he missed his lone field-goal attempt and one of two PAT tries. Despite his accuracy issues, Badgley has some upside in this favorable matchup for the Colts offense. If he proves serviceable, Badgley could see more opportunities in the event Blankenship's absence stretches beyond Week 6.

Analysis: Badgley missed his only field-goal attempt with the Titans in Week 1 before being promptly cut by the team. The Titans waived Badgley from their active roster Monday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Badgley struggled in the opener, missing his only field-goal attempt and converting just one of his two extra-point tries. The Titans clearly did not what like they saw, and the 26-year-old is now a free agent. He spent his first three years in the NFL with the Chargers and struggled with long-distance accuracy, connecting on just 10 of his 19 tries from beyond 40 yards last season.

Struggles with opening opportunity
Badgley missed his only field-goal attempt and converted one of his two extra-point attempts in Sunday's Week 1 contest against Arizona.
Analysis: Badgley joined the Titans on Saturday, but didn't endear himself in his first opportunity with the team. His first kick was a missed extra point partway through the second quarter, and one drive later he pushed a 46-yard field-goal attempt wide left. Badgley struggled with accuracy as a member of the Chargers, and initial returns suggest that area of his game has not improved.

Takes over as Tennessee kicker
Badgley signed a contract with the Titans on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: The move comes after Sam Ficken (groin) was placed on injured reserve, the team's second kicker to land on IR this season. Badgley's stretches of inaccuracy ultimately cost him the kicking competition after starting the past three seasons with the Chargers, but previous Chargers castoffs such as Josh Lambo and Younghoe Koo have both succeeded in recent years after departures from their original franchise.

The Chargers are re-signing Badgley, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Analysis: Badgley is coming off a disastrous season, having converted just 73 percent of his field-goal attempts (worst among all kickers who attempted 30 or more field goals in 2020), including just two of six tries from 50-plus yards out. The team also signed placekicker Tristan Vizcaino earlier this month, and more competition for Badgley could surface as the offseason progresses.

Concludes dreadful campaign
Badgley made all four of his extra points in the Week 17 win over the Chiefs. He finished the season with a 72.7 field-goal percentage across 33 attempts and also missed three of his 39 extra-point attempts.
Analysis: The third-year kicker might be on thin ice after posting the third-worst field-goal percentage among kickers who attempted 30 or more field goals this season. Missed game winners and extra points plagued Badgley throughout the season to the point where head coach Anthony Lynn repeatedly questioned his kicker's confidence in post-game pressers. Analysis: Badgley converted from 37, 43, 25 and 37 yards on his respective field goals, with his final one clinching victory for the Chargers with just under a minute remaining. After recent miscues, Badgley will be pleased by his performance Sunday, which also netted him a season-high 13 points. He'll now aim to close the season strong in Week 17 versus the Chiefs.

Can't come up clutch
Badgley made just one of his three field-goal attempts but made both of his extra points in Thursday's 30-27 win over the Raiders.
Analysis: Both of Badgley's misses came within the final four minutes of the game with the score deadlocked at 24-24. Each attempt pushed slightly left, including a 51-yard try with just under a minute left to play. As a result of Thursday's contest, the 25-year-old has slipped below 70 percent in terms of made kicks, but with two games left to play it's hard to imagine the Chargers will make a change.

Badgley converted both of his field-goal attempts and also knocked home both extra points in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Falcons.
Analysis: For as dreadful of a season the Chargers' special teams has had, it was nice to see them reverse fortune for at least one week. For just the second time in the last six weeks, Badgley converted two field goals, including the game-winning attempt from 43 yards out and the kicker connected on all of his extra-point attempts. Analysis: It was a disaster of a game for the third-year pro, as the Chargers put together one of the worst performances by a special teams unit in NFL history. Badgley's first missed attempt came on the Chargers' opening possession, amounting to his second missed field goal from at least 40 yards out in his last four attempts. Nails both field goals
Badgley made both of his field-goal attempts and added four extra points in Sunday's 34-28 win against the Jets.
Analysis: This week's matchup against the Jets allowed for the Chargers' offense to thrive, giving Badgley a handful of opportunities to score. Zero field goals
Badgley had zero field-goal attempts and added three extra points in Sunday's 29-21 loss to the Dolphins.
Analysis: The opportunities for Badgley were very limited in this matchup. While the kicker had a less than average performance against the Raiders last week, he at least did not miss any extra points in this contest. Game script essentially relegated Badgley to the sidelines, particularly during the second half as the Chargers attempted to mount an unlikely double-digit comeback. Two field goals
Badgley made two out of his three field-goal attempts and added two extra points in Sunday's 31-26 loss to the Raiders.
Analysis: After finally bouncing back from a multiweek slump in last Sunday's loss to the Broncos, Badgley went right back to his inconsistent ways, shanking an attempt from 48 yards out in the first quarter. This was his fourth game of the season in which he missed a kick from at least 40 yards out, but he did manage to convert his 45-yard attempt during the second quarter. Improves performance in loss
Badgley made all three of his field-goal attempts and added three extra points in Sunday's 31-30 loss against the Broncos.
Analysis: After an extremely bumpy two games, Badgley finally turned it around and made every one of his attempts Sunday. Perhaps more importantly from a fantasy perspective, Badgley converted a 52-yard field goal in the third quarter, just his second field goal of 50 yards or more in two years. It'll be interesting to see if the 25-year-old can continue to be consistent in what figures to be a high octane matchup against the Raiders next week.

Badgley made two of his three field-goal attempts and only made three of his four extra-point attempts in Sunday's 39-29 win against the Jaguars.
Analysis: Badgley has missed at least one field goal in every game since Week 3 and also has back to back games with a missed extra point. Even coach Anthony Lynn has commented on Badgley's recent performance, insisting that he needs to come out of his funk, and it wouldn't be surprising if another missed kick in the coming weeks could put Badgley's job in jeopardy.

Analysis: Badgley was robbed of an additional extra-point attempt when the Chargers were forced to go for a two-point conversation late in the game. Knocks home multiple field goals
Badgley connected on three of his four field-goal attempts in Sunday's 16-13 win over the Bengals. He also made his lone extra-point attempt.
Analysis: The Chargers' offense continually sputtered out near the red zone allowing for Badgley to knock home a couple of chip shots throughout the game. Badgley, who's lone miss came from 50 yards out, is only 50 percent on field goals from 50 or more yards, although he's attempted just four in his three-year career. Lone kicker in camp
Badgley is the only kicker listed in the Chargers' group of specialists for this year's training camp.
Analysis: Badgley was limited to just eight games last season due to a groin injury, but he's been very good when healthy. The 25-year-old has converted 28 of 32 field-goal attempts and 46 of 47 extra-point tries across 18 regular-season games, making him a reliable commodity that doesn't require competition to push him ahead of the coming campaign.

Perfect from inside 45 yards
Badgley converted on 13 of his 16 field-goal attempts in 2019 and did not miss any of his 19 extra points.
Analysis: A groin injury ultimately cost Badgley the first eight games of the season, but the second-year kicker returned in Week 9 and proceeded to be a reliable option from 45 yards or less. All three of Badgley's misses came from 46 yards or longer, however, but considering the team's struggles to find a consistent kicker in past seasons, it's unlikely the 24-year-old will have much competition at the position in 2020.
