Healthy once again
Collier (biceps) is healthy once again, Ariel Reed of Texoma's reports.
Analysis: Collier is now fully recovered from a biceps injury that limited him to just one regular-season game last season. Now healthy, the 28-year-old will compete for a roster spot as a reserve defender.

Should be ready for camp
Collier (biceps) is expected to be "pretty much full tilt" when the Cardinals begin their offseason program, according to head coach Jonathan Gannon, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Collier appeared in only one game for Arizona last season before suffering a biceps injury and spent the rest of the season sidelined. He re-signed with the team earlier in March, and with him nearing full health, he should have a second chance to impress in 2024.

Re-ups with Cards
Arizona is re-signing Collier (biceps) to a one-year contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Collier appeared in only one game with the Cardinals last year before suffering a season-ending biceps injury, but he impressed the team enough during last offseason's training camp that he'll get another chance in the desert. There's not yet any reason to suspect that the 2019 first-round pick will be less than a full participant when offseason workouts kick off.

Placed on IR
Collier (biceps) landed on injured reserve Saturday, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
Analysis: Collier will now be sidelined for at least four weeks. There is currently no word on his timeline for recovery. In his absence, Cameron Thomas and Eric Banks could see some extra snaps.

Out for Week 2
Collier (biceps) is listed as out for Sunday's game versus the Giants, Bob McManaman of The Arizona Republic reports.
Analysis: After missing practice all week with a biceps issue, Collier will watch Arizona's game in Week 2 from the sidelines. 2022 third-rounder Cameron Thomas is a candidate to see more work as long as Collier remains out.

Signs with Arizona
The Cardinals agreed to terms with Collier on a one-year deal Tuesday, Darren Urban of team's official site reports.
Analysis: Collier will head from one NFC West team to another, as he spent the last four seasons in Seattle. The 2019 first-round pick played in only eight games last year, as he dealt with both elbow and thumb injuries and recorded just seven tackles (three solo). While Collier is coming off the least productive season of his career, he should still add solid depth to Arizona's pass rush unit that will be looking to fill the void left by J.J. Watt's retirement.

Activated from injured reserve
Seattle activated Collier from injured reserve Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Collier began the season on injured reserve due to an elbow injury and was designated to return Oct. 5, making Wednesday (Oct. 26) the final day before the defensive end reverted to injured reserve for the remainder of the campaign. His return to the active roster was slowed after he injured his thumb during a practice, per Boyle, but he appears to be fully healthy heading into Week 8. It's unclear what his role will be if available, but the 2019 first-round pick operated as a rotational piece…read more

Return looming
Collier (elbow) was designated to return from IR on Wednesday, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.
Analysis: Collier can now practice with the team, and he'll be eligible to suit up as soon as Sunday against the Saints. However, he does have a three-week window until he needs to be moved to the active roster, so there is no certainty he'll return in Week 5.

Placed on IR
The Seahawks placed Collier (elbow) on injured reserve Wednesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Collier was sidelined for the majority of training camp due to the issue but garnered a spot on the initial 53-man roster. However, the 2019 first-round pick will still have to miss at least the first four weeks of the regular season. Collier appeared in 10 games for Seattle in 2021, totaling eight tackles, but the Seahawks didn't pick up the fifth-year option on his rookie contract this offseason, leaving his future in Seattle uncertain.

Not practicing Sunday
Collier (elbow) was spotted with a wrap on his left elbow during Sunday's practice after suffering an injury during the Seahawks' mock game Saturday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Analysis: Collier appeared in 10 games for Seattle in 2021, totaling eight tackles and one pass defensed. The Seahawks didn't pick up the fifth-year option on the 2019 first-round pick's contract this offseason, so his future in Seattle is uncertain.

Has fifth-year option declined
The Seahawks didn't pick up the fifth-year option on Collier's rookie contract Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Barring further contract negotiations, Collier will become a free agent after the 2022 season. He appeared in 10 games for Seattle in 2021, collecting eight tackles (three solo) and one pass defensed.

Back from protocols
Collier (illness) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Collier landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Dec. 27, but he was able to make it back onto the field relatively quickly. He should return to a rotational role along Seattle's defensive line for Sunday's matchup against Detroit. Through eight games this season, Collier has recorded seven total tackles.

Lands on COVID list
Collier (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Collier is vaccinated, so he can return as soon as he provides two negative tests more than 24 hours apart. If unable to do so by Sunday, the Seahawks' defensive line depth will take a hit when they host the Lions.

Gets minor ankle surgery
Collier revealed in his appearance Wednesday on NFL Network's "Good Morning Football" that he underwent arthroscopic ankle surgery earlier in the week.
Analysis: Collier didn't miss any games in 2020, making 16 starts in the regular season and one more in the playoffs. His total of three sacks in 27 career games is disappointing for a first-round pick, but he at least gave the Seahawks competent snaps at multiple defensive-line positions in his second pro season. Collier didn't sound too worried about the ankle scope, and he should be healthy before training camp.

Notches first career sack
Collier recorded three tackles and a sack in Sunday's 27-26 win over the Vikings.
Analysis: Collier has endured a shaky start to his career, as he was a first-round pick in 2019 but served as a healthy scratch on multiple occasions during his rookie year. He's carved out a more consistent role in 2020, and he's finally registered his first sack. However, Collier played just 46 percent of the snaps while rookie Alton Robinson logged a 40 percent share, and his playing time could slip further when Rasheem Green (neck) returns from IR.

Earns starting job
Head coach Pete Carroll said Collier will start at defensive end Sunday versus the Falcons, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Collier beat out Rasheem Green for the starting gig opposite Benson Mayowa, although Carroll said both defensive ends should get plenty of tread. After being selected in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Collier played just 155 defensive snaps over 11 games (five healthy scratches) and recorded three tackles. Carroll believes he's in better shape this year and should have an impact immediately, but the 25-year-old has minimal IDP value at this time.

Disappointing rookie season
Collier made three tackles over 11 games in the 2019 season.
Analysis: Many said Collier was a reach when the Seahawks took him 29th overall in last year's draft, and the 24-year-old didn't do much to change those opinions. He played 10 or more defensive snaps in just six games, and he was a healthy scratch for both playoff games. Of course, it's not easy to battle for playing time against Jadeveon Clowney (core) and Ezekiel Ansah (neck), but that duo missed eight games between them and Collier didn't adjust to the pro ranks quickly enough to take advantage. Ansah…read more
