Officially activated from IR
Brown (shoulder) has been activated from IR ahead of Saturday's game against the Texans.
Analysis: Brown, who practiced fully Tuesday through Thursday, doesn't carry an injury designation for the contest, which sets the stage for the speedy pass catcher to see his first game action since suffering a sternoclavicular injury on the first play of the Chiefs' first preseason game back on Aug. 10, per Adam Teicher of ESPN.com. In his looming return to a wide receiver corps that also includes Xavier Worthy and DeAndre Hopkins, it remains to be seen what sort of volume Brown will see Week 16, but…read more

No injury designation for Week 16
Brown (shoulder), who officially remains on IR, practiced in full Thursday and does not carry an injury designation for Saturday's game against the Texans.
Analysis: Coach Andy Reid said Thursday that Brown has "a good chance" to be officially activated from IR in time to make his season debut Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The speedy wideout's lack of an injury designation reflects that optimism. Brown's recovery from left shoulder surgery undergone back in September has prevented him from suiting up for a single game this season, so if available Saturday, it wouldn't be surprising to see Kansas City ease him into the offense with a light…read more

Trending toward debut
Brown (shoulder) is expected to be activated off injured reserve ahead of Saturday's game against the Texans, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: The Chiefs will need to officially activate Brown off IR ahead of the contest, but it appears like the speedy wideout is on a direct path to making his season debut in Week 16. It's unclear to what degree Brown will be utilized in his first game action since Week 15 of the 2023 campaign, but the team will gladly welcome the 27-year-old's field-stretching speed to an offense that has struggled to produce explosive plays this season.

Practices fully Tuesday
Kansas City listed Brown (shoulder) as a full participant in Tuesday's practice.
Analysis: Brown has missed the first 14 games of the season while recovering from mid-September surgery on his left shoulder, but he looks to be closing in on his 2024 debut. He took a step forward Tuesday by taking every rep in practice, after he had been listed as a limited participant in his return to practice last Friday. Earlier Tuesday, head coach Andy Reid confirmed to Adam Teicher of ESPN.com that Brown will have a chance to play this Saturday against the Texans, but Kansas City will likely wait…read more

Practice window opening
The Chiefs are opening Brown's (shoulder) practice window Friday, Albert Breer of SI.com reports.
Analysis: A previous report suggested it would happen either Friday or Monday, after Chiefs coach Andy Reid confirmed earlier this week that Brown was almost ready to practice. Brown won't play against Cleveland this Sunday and might be viewed as a long shot for Week 16, but it seems he'll return before the end of the regular season unless he suffers a setback in practice. There's now a 21-day window in which Brown can practice without being activated to the 53-man roster.

Return to practice imminent
Brown (shoulder) has received final clearance to practice and should be designated for return from injured reserve Friday or Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Brown hasn't played this season due to September surgery that was ordered up to repair the left shoulder injury he suffered during the Chiefs' preseason opener on Aug. 10. On Wednesday, coach Andy Reid told Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com that Brown was closing in on a return to practice, so Rapoport's report one day later isn't coming out of thin air. Whenever he's able to practice again, Kansas City will have a 21-day window to evaluate Brown for a potential return to the active roster.

Nearing return to practice
Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Wednesday that Brown (shoulder) is "getting close" to practicing and is "champing at the bit" to return, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
Analysis: Reid declined to provide an estimated date for Brown's return and didn't say how much the wideout would need to practice before making his season debut. Since the Chiefs didn't open Brown's 21-day evaluation window Wednesday, he presumably won't be a candidate to return from injured reserve for this Sunday's game in Cleveland, and he probably should be viewed as a longshot for the team's Week 16 game against the Texans. Could play as soon as Week 16
Brown (shoulder) is scheduled for a checkup with his surgeon during Week 15 and could receive clearance to resume practicing thereafter, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Brown has been out all season after suffering a sternoclavicular joint injury to his left shoulder in the Chiefs' Aug. 10 preseason opener and then undergoing surgery in mid-September. Though initial reports after his surgery was performed suggested that Brown would likely miss the entire regular season, the wideout has seemingly avoided any setbacks thus far in the recovery process and looks like he'll have a chance to get in a few tune-up games before the playoffs get underway. May practice in mid-December
The Chiefs hope Brown (shoulder) can return to practice in mid-December, Nate Taylor of the Athletic reports.
Analysis: Brown had shoulder surgery in mid-September, with reports at the time suggesting he was unlikely to play in the regular season but might return for the playoffs. The wideout now seems he has a chance to play before the end of the regular season, although perhaps only in Weeks 17 and 18.

Progressing, but won't return soon
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Wednesday that Brown (shoulder) is "on schedule, or a little but ahead" in his recovery from September surgery, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: That said, Reid cautioned that it's "going to be a while" before Brown plays, though the receiver is a "relentless worker" who seems to be doing well up to this point in his recovery. Around the time he had surgery, multiple reports suggested Brown was unlikely to play in the regular season, with any shot to return dependent on the Chiefs making another playoff run. The team's wideout corps has changed considerably since Week 1, first losing Rashee Rice to a season-ending knee injury and then…read more

Unlikely to play in regular season
Brown, who was placed on injured reserve Friday and is slated to undergo surgery to repair his shoulder, is unlikely to play during the regular season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: The language coming out of Kansas City, both from head coach Andy Reid and Vice President of Sports Medicine and Performance Rick Burkholder, suggested this timeline could be a possibility. While the report leaves open that Brown could rejoin the team in the postseason, it seems as if the speedy wide receiver will be largely unavailable for fantasy managers in 2024.

The Chiefs placed Brown (shoulder) on injured reserve Friday.
Analysis: Per Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site, Brown is slated to undergo shoulder surgery Monday. While the Chiefs don't have a specific timetable for the wideout's return to action, head coach Andy Reid told Adam Teicher of ESPN.com on Friday that Brown is set to miss months. Set for surgery, no return timeline
Chiefs Vice President of Sports Medicine and Performance Rick Burkholder said Friday that Brown (shoulder) is scheduled to undergo surgery Monday, per Matt McMullen of the team's official site, and that he's without a timetable to return, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.
Analysis: Brown appears destined to land on injured reserve, as initially reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, though the move has not yet been made official. Coach Andy Reid said Monday the wide receiver's potential return to the field is "not going to be weeks, it's going to be more like months," according to Charles Goldman of AtoZSports.com. Reportedly headed to IR
Brown (shoulder) is reportedly in line to head to IR, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Analysis: We'll await added context as well as confirmation from the Chiefs, but Rapoport's report indicates that the wideout is in line to undergo a procedure to address his shoulder injury. Assuming that's the case, Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and Justin Watson will be on track to lead Kansas City's wideout corps in the coming weeks, with JuJu Smith-Schuster, Skyy Moore and Mecole Hardman also in the mix.

Remains sidelined Thursday
Brown (shoulder) won't practice Thursday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Analysis: Brown was also sidelined for Wednesday's session, which gives him one more opportunity to log practice reps ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals. If the wideout is forced to miss a second straight contest, Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and Justin Watson would once again be on track to lead Kansas City's wideout corps in Week 2, with JuJu Smith-Schuster, Skyy Moore and Mecole Hardman on hand as depth.

Not ready to practice
Brown (shoulder) won't practice Wednesday, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Though Brown won't take the field Wednesday, head coach Andy Reid said that it's still possible the wideout could be available Sunday against the Bengals. Brown has two more chances to log practice reps before the Chiefs' final Week 2 injury report is posted. In his absence in the team's season opener this past Thursday versus the Ravens, Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and Justin Watson led Kansas City's wideout corps, with JuJu Smith-Schuster and Skyy Moore mixing in.

Moving in right direction
Brown (shoulder) is nearing a return to the field according to head coach Andy Reid, Charles Goldman of AtoZSports.com reports.
Analysis: Brown has been working his way back from a sternoclavicular joint injury in his left shoulder that he suffered on Aug. 10. Head coach Andy Reid said Monday that the wide receiver is "getting close" and that "it looks like it's heading in the right direction." Once he's healthy, Brown will compete with the likes of Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and Travis Kelce for targets, likely limiting his fantasy upside in the early going.

May debut in Week 2
Brown (shoulder), who is inactive for Thursday's game against the Ravens, may be able to play in the Chiefs' Week 2 matchup with the Bengals on Sunday, Sept. 15, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Brown is expected to return to practice next week, which would be just a shade over four weeks since he suffered a sternoclavicular joint injury in his left shoulder in Kansas City's exhibition opener in Jacksonville. The typical recovery for such an injury is 4-to-6 weeks, and the sixth-year wide receiver appears to be trending toward the front end of that timetable. Head coach Andy Reid said Tuesday that Brown (shoulder) has been ruled out for Thursday's season opener against the Ravens, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
Analysis: Brown has yet to resume practicing since suffering a left sternoclavicular dislocation Aug. 10, and it never appeared that he had a real chance to be available for Week 1. Reid has now made that official, though he noted that Brown's recovery has been encouraging, per Adam Teicher of ESPN.com. Missing another practice
Brown (shoulder) isn't practicing Sunday, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
Analysis: Kansas City head coach Andy Reid indicated that Brown is the only Chiefs player who will miss Sunday's practice session. The wideout's absence further supports the expectation that he'll miss the team's regular-season opener against Baltimore on Thursday. With that said, Kansas City elected not to place Brown on injured reserve to open the campaign, so there appears to be optimism that he'll be back in action by Week 4.

Not expected to play in season opener
Coach Andy Reid said Friday that Brown (shoulder) is not expected to suit up for Kansas City's regular-season opener against the Ravens on Thursday, Sept. 5, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Analysis: Brown was given a 4-to-6 week recovery timetable after suffering a sternoclavicular injury Aug. 10, so Reid is essentially offering an acknowledgement that the wideout's earliest possible return date will come Week 2 versus the Bengals. It's possible that Brown will need longer than that to get full healthy, but the Chiefs' decision not to place him on short-term IR is a vote of confidence from the team that he will need to miss less than four games. Analysis: Watching from the sideline might be interpreted as a step in the right direction, but Brown remains uncertain for Week 1 after suffering a sternoclavicular injury Aug. 10 in Kansas City's preseason opener. Reports at the time suggested he'd likely be out 4-to-6 weeks, hinting at a return at some point in September if not in time for Week 1. To miss up to six weeks
Brown (shoulder) is expected to miss 4-6 weeks due to a sternoclavicular injury suffered during Kansas City's preseason opener against the Jaguars, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports.
Analysis: Brown's recovery timeline aligns with coach Andy Reid's earlier estimate, which was based on the amount of time former Kansas City wide receiver Tyreek Hill missed due to a similar injury in 2019. The timing makes it appear unlikely that Brown will be available for the regular-season opener against the Ravens on Thursday, Sept. 5, though the team has yet to rule him out. Analysis: Brown suffered a sternoclavicular joint injury during Saturday's preseason game versus the Jaguars, which Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports was able to be reduced by doctors in Jacksonville. Coach Andy Reid said that back in the 2019 season, former Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill dealt with a similar injury, which required him to miss Weeks 2-5. May miss some time
Head coach Andy Reid said Brown suffered the same injury to his left shoulder in Saturday's preseason game versus Jacksonville that former Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill sustained during the 2019 season, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.
Analysis: In the case of Hill, he missed Weeks 2 through 5 in 2019 due to a sternoclavicular dislocation that required a reduction under anesthesia, per Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com. If Brown follows a similar path as Hill, his recovery timeline could threaten his odds to play Week 1. With Rashee Rice's availability up in the air due to legal woes as well, the Chiefs may enter the upcoming campaign with a receiving corps composed of Xavier Worthy, Justin Watson, Skyy Moore and Kadarius Toney (back).

Hurts shoulder Saturday
Brown sustained a shoulder injury during Saturday's preseason contest at Jacksonville.
Analysis: QB Patrick Mahomes connected with Brown on an 11-yard catch on the first play from scrimmage, but afterward the offseason addition appeared to favor his shoulder on the sideline. After a Harrison Butker field goal ended the Chiefs' first drive, Brown was seen making his way to the locker room. Considering it's the preseason and not the regular season, Brown likely has seen his last action of the team's exhibition opener.

Brown (illness) returned to practice Wednesday, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
Analysis: Brown should jump right back in with the first-team offense after missing a few days due to an illness. Misses practice because of illness
Brown sat out practice Sunday due to an illness, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Specifics of the illness were not shared, but it doesn't seem like something that will keep Brown out for an extended period. The flashy wideout is set to take on a key role in the Chiefs' passing game this year after signing a one-year deal in March. Though he has the explosiveness to thrive in KC's offense, Brown will need to remain healthy after missing eight contests over the past two years due to injuries.

Looking good at OTAs

Analysis: A lot has happened since Brown signed a one-year, $7 million contract in mid-March, starting with fellow Chiefs wideout Rashee Rice being involved in a hit-and-run accident that's led to criminal charges. Brown (heel) is slated to sign a one-year contract worth up to $11 million with the Chiefs, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Brown is coming off two underwhelming seasons with the Cardinals, though he was plagued by injuries in both campaigns. He'll now join the prolific Chiefs offense and should become a top-three option for Patrick Mahomes behind TE Travis Kelce and WR Rashee Rice. Analysis: Coach Jonathan Gannon announced the pending transaction earlier Friday, per Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site, and Brown now will miss the final two games of the campaign. Most of Brown's 2023 output occurred with Joshua Dobbs and Clayton Tune under center, as he mustered only a 9-134-0 line on 24 targets (of his 51-574-4 on 101 targets overall) after Kyler Murray made his season debut Week 10. Coach Jonathan Gannon said Friday that Brown (heel) will be placed on injured reserve, ending his 2023 campaign, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: Brown will miss the remainder of the 2023 campaign due to a heel injury that caused him to miss Week 16 and log early exits in the Cardinals' previous two games. That ends the worst statistical season of the 26-year-old's career in which he secured 51 of 101 targets for 574 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing twice for 23 yards. Analysis: Coach Jonathan Gannon made multiple comments earlier this week about hoping to get Brown back before the end of the season, but a decision to rule the wide receiver out for Week 16 before Friday's practice even starts isn't the most encouraging development. Analysis: Brown has made early exits from the Cardinals' last two games Weeks 13 and 15 due to a heel injury that has lingered since Week 12 prep. It appears he's focusing on rehab of the issue versus practice with the hope he'll play again at some point over the final three contests of the campaign. Analysis: If Brown indeed misses practice for a second day in a row, he'll have just one more opportunity to mix into drills this week before the Cardinals potentially make a ruling on his availability ahead of Sunday's game at Chicago. The wide receiver didn't play after halftime in Arizona's past two games, as he aggravated his lingering heel injury during the second quarter of both contests. A Week 14 bye sandwiched between those games didn't seem to help Brown move past the issue, and at this point, he'll be an extremely risky fantasy…read more

Uncertain for Week 16
Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said Wednesday that Brown's (heel) status is up in the air for Sunday's game against the Bears, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
Analysis: Brown has suited up in all 14 of the Cardinals' games to date, but the wideout is coming off consecutive games in which he handled significantly less than a full share of snaps and finished without a single reception. Though the Cardinals are reportedly optimistic that Brown won't miss time, clarity on his status for Sunday's game likely won't come until the team has had a chance to evaluate him in practice.

Unlikely to land on IR
Coach Jonathan Gannon said Monday that Brown (heel) likely won't be placed on injured reserve, Bob McManaman of The Arizona Republic reports.
Analysis: Brown has had back-to-back abbreviated outings (Weeks 13 and 15) due to a lingering heel injury and hasn't recorded a catch since Week 12. Still, the Cardinals are holding off on shutting him down for the season, which a move to IR would result in. With the team now set to prepare for Sunday's visit to Chicago, Brown won't be listed on a practice report until Wednesday, but if he requires any absences down the stretch, Arizona will need to lean on Michael Wilson, Rondale Moore, Greg Dortch and…read more

Brown (heel), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers, is expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Coming out of the Cardinals' Week 14 bye, Brown failed to practice Wednesday but returned to the field Thursday and Friday as a limited participant. Though head coach Jonathan Gannon has acknowledged that Brown's painful heel injury requires regular management, the wideout nonetheless appears poised to play through the health concern Sunday. Brown (heel) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
Analysis: Brown was held out of practice coming out of a Week 14 bye but then managed limited sessions Thursday and Friday. Coach Jonathan Gannon acknowledged Friday that Brown's heel injury is painful and requires management, per Howard Balzer of GoPHNX.com, though Gannon also told Brack he still expects the wide receiver to continue making explosive plays. He returned to practice Thursday and now is participating again Friday, suggesting he'll at least try to play this Sunday against the 49ers.

Limited in return to practice
Brown (heel) practiced on a limited basis Thursday, Jose M. Romero of The Arizona Republic reports.
Analysis: Brown played through a heel injury in the Cardinals' previous two games, but he left the last one early Week 13 at Pittsburgh and wasn't able to return. Even with the benefit of a Week 14 bye, he didn't take part as the team reconvened for practice Wednesday, but his return to some drills one day later keeps the door ajar for him to be available Sunday against the 49ers. Friday's practice report will reveal whether or not Brown enters the weekend with an injury designation for Week 15 action.

Analysis: Head coach Jonathan Gannon suggested Monday that Brown likely would practice this week, after having a Week 14 bye to heal up following an early exit from the Cardinals' Week 13 win over Pittsburgh. Brown is tending to the same heel injury that he played through for multiple weeks before he experienced a setback in Pittsburgh, and he'll still have two more chances to practice prior to Sunday's matchup with San Francisco.

Expected to practice this week
Coach Jonathan Gannon noted Monday that all signs point to Brown (heel) being able to practice this week, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Analysis: Brown exited the Cardinals' Week 13 win over the Steelers due to a heel injury, but the wideout appears to have benefited from the team's subsequent bye week. Analysis: Brown didn't practice during Week 13 prep due to a heel issue, so he may have aggravated it upon his departure in the third quarter. If he's unable to return, he'll end Sunday's game with no catches on three targets. Coach Jonathan Gannon said Friday morning that Brown (heel) is "trending in the right direction" ahead of Sunday's game in Pittsburgh, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
Analysis: Gannon said an upcoming bye Week 14 won't impact the inactive/active decision for TE Trey McBride (groin), so that's probably also the case for Brown, who played through the same injury last week and caught six of 12 targets for 88 yards in a 37-14 loss to the Rams. Minimal production in Week 11 loss
Brown brought in two of five targets for 18 yards in the Cardinals' 21-16 loss to the Texans on Sunday.
Analysis: Brown was third on the Cardinals in targets, but the matchup against a Texans defense adept at limiting wide receiver production got the best of the speedy wideout. Brown has brought in just three of nine targets for 46 yards in the two games he's played with Kyler Murray thus far, but given the previous rapport between the two, that inefficiency could begin to wane beginning with a favorable Week 12 home matchup against the Rams.

Brown's inefficiency over his last two games stands out, as he's brought in only eight of 21 targets over that span. There was an expectation that Brown would be a game-time call, and he indeed avoided being listed as inactive prior to Sunday's kickoff. The Cardinals' No. 1 wideout has scored in two consecutive weeks, but playing through a thumb injury against an elite 49ers defense may not be an ideal recipe for success Week 4. Brown (thumb) will practice Friday but could end up a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup with the 49ers, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Brown is dealing with a thumb injury that doesn't require surgery, and while he might be able to play through the issue, it's not ideal that he was a mid-week addition to the injury report Thursday, when he was a limited participant in practice. Analysis: Brown practiced fully Wednesday, but apparently the wideout injured his thumb during Thursday's session, which makes his status for Sunday's game against the 49ers worth monitoring. Friday's injury report will clarify whether Brown heads into the weekend with an injury designation or cleared to face San Francisco.

Scores for second straight week
Brown caught five of seven targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-16 win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: The fifth-year wideout led the Cardinals in catches and got into the end zone for the second straight game, hauling in a two-yard strike from Joshua Dobbs in the fourth quarter. Brown scored only three TDs in 12 games last season, so his early production is an encouraging sign that a breakout campaign could be on its way. However, he could have a hard time maintaining his momentum in Week 4 against another tough defense in the 49ers.

Gets into end zone Sunday
Brown caught six of 10 targets for 54 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Giants.
Analysis: The fifth-year wideout produced the only score of the second half for the Cardinals after they built a 20-0 lead before halftime, hauling in a three-yard TD pass from Joshua Dobbs midway through the third quarter. Brown's 10 targets also led his team, while his six catches tied Zach Ertz for tops on Arizona. Brown faces a tough test in Week 3 against a Cowboys defense that just held the Jets' Garrett Wilson to only two receptions, although one of them went for a 68-yard touchdown.

Four touches Sunday
Brown caught three of five targets for 28 yards and added 29 rushing yards on his only carry in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Commanders.
Analysis: The former Raven helped set up the Cardinals' first points with his 29-yard run on a first-quarter drive that ended in a field goal, but Brown was nearly invisible after that as Arizona's offense failed to produce a touchdown on the day. As QB Joshua Dobbs gets more familiar with the playbook, things could open up a little for the Cards' wideouts, but this still figures to be one of the least potent passing games in the NFL this season. Brown will look for more big plays in Week 2 against the…read more

Suiting up Sunday
Brown (hamstring) is listed as active Sunday at Washington, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: Brown now has dealt with a hamstring injury ahead of each of the last three campaigns. This time around, he was limited in practice during the entirety of Week 1 prep, but the issue won't impact his availability for the season opener. He'll thus serve as one of the top pass catchers for expected starting quarterback Joshua Dobbs, which isn't exactly an ideal situation considering the signal-caller only joined the team Aug. 24. In 2022, Brown put together a 67-709-3 line on 107 targets in 12…read more

Expected to take on Commanders
Brown (hamstring) is listed as questionable but is expected to suit up Sunday versus Washington, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Both Brown and tight end Zach Ertz (knee) were given designations heading into the weekend, but the two are both trending toward suiting up in the season opener, which is notable news for an offense that should need all the help it can get. Joshua Dobbs is expected to get the nod at quarterback over Clayton Tune in Week 1, though the Cardinals haven't yet officially named a starter. Questionable for opener
Brown (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Washington, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
Analysis: He missed some time in training camp with an undisclosed injury and was a limited practice participant Wednesday through Friday this week. If Brown ends up inactive ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, the Cardinals will be left with Rondale Moore, Michael Wilson, Greg Dortch and Zach Pascal as their top options. The team hasn't announced a starting QB yet but is expected to go with Joshua Dobbs over Clayton Tune.

Practicing again Friday
Brown (hamstring) is practicing Friday, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Analysis: Brown has been limited in practice all week but is on track to play Sunday against the Commanders. The veteran speedster is the overwhelming favorite to pace Arizona in targets, but the quality of those looks is a major question, with either Joshua Dobbs or rookie Clayton Tune starting at quarterback. Brown is tough to trust for fantasy purposes.

Logs another limited session
Brown (hamstring) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
Analysis: Brown continues to operate with a cap on his reps due to a hamstring injury during Week 1 prep. His listing on Friday's practice report will be telling for his potential activity level ahead of Sunday's season opener at Washington. Any sort of limitations from Brown would equate to elevated reps for Rondale Moore, Greg Dortch, Michael Wilson and Zach Pascal.

Dealing with hamstring issue
Brown was limited at Wednesday's practice due to a hamstring injury, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Brown is no stranger to lower-body injuries, including to his hamstring. He dealt with a hamstring injury is August 2021 and again during last year's training camp. He didn't miss any official game action as a result, and his ability to handle some reps Wednesday generally is a decent sign that the current concern isn't serious. Still, Brown's status should be watched closely as the week goes on to get a sense of his availability for Sunday's game at Washington.

Not expected to play Saturday
Brown is not expected to play in Saturday's preseason finale, Jose M. Romero of The Arizona Republic reports.
Analysis: The speedy wideout did see action in last week's preseason performance, but that appears to be the extent of his exhibition workload. Brown is expected to be a critical target for a pass-catching corps that is incredibly young after the release of DeAndre Hopkins.

Sees action in Saturday's loss
Brown (undisclosed) brought in one of two targets for 12 yards in the Cardinals' 38-10 preseason loss to the Chiefs on Saturday night.
Analysis: The speedster had been slowly ramping back up in practice the past few weeks after overcoming what head coach Jonathan Gannon labeled as "nicks and bruises." Brown then drew the start Saturday night and made his one catch on the first play of the Cardinals' second possession. Brown's ability to suit up Saturday dispels any concerns about his health and keeps him firmly on track to open the campaign as Arizona's unquestioned No. 1 receiver.

Gets in more work Wednesday
Brown (undisclosed) increased his activity level at Wednesday's practice, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Analysis: Brown was limited Monday and took part in the initial portion of Tuesday's practice, after which head coach Jonathan Gannon told Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com that the wide receiver was dealing with "nicks and bruises." While Drake noted that Wednesday's session was low intensity, it's still an encouraging sign for Brown to get in some more work. Any reps that Brown is unable to handle will filter down to Rondale Moore, Greg Dortch, Michael Wilson and Zach Pascal, among others.

Tending to injury
Coach Jonathan Gannon said Tuesday that Brown is tending to undisclosed "nicks and bruises," Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
Analysis: According to Jose M. Romero of The Arizona Republic, Brown was limited at Monday's session before participating in the early portions of Tuesday's practice. It's unclear at this point if the wideout will suit up for the Cardinals' first exhibition game Friday, Aug. 11 versus the Broncos, but the team isn't likely to take any chances with him. In Brown's absence, Arizona's top wide receivers are Rondale Moore, Greg Dortch and Michael Wilson.

Brown (foot) returned to practice Wednesday, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
Analysis: Brown was held out of Tuesday's practice for precautionary reasons, but his quick return to the field indicates that the foot issue he was dealing with was nothing concerning. In the wake of the Cardinals' release of DeAndre Hopkins, Brown, who logged a 67-709-3 receiving line in 12 games in 2022, is poised to serve as the team's top wide receiver this coming season. Brown, who is dealing with a foot issue, was held out of Tuesday's practice, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Per coach Jonathan Gannon, the Cardinals elected to hold the wideout out of the session for precautionary reasons. Once Brown -- who logged a 67-709-3 line in 12 games last season -- is able to to return to practice, he'll take over as Arizona's top wide receiver option following the release of DeAndre Hopkins. Analysis: Due to Hopkins' six-game suspension to start last season and injury concerns for both he and Brown thereafter, the pair only suited up for four games together. With Hopkins out of the picture, Brown will kick off his second season with the Cardinals as the team's top wideout, followed by the likes of Rondale Moore, Greg Dortch, Zach Pascal and rookie third-round pick Michael Wilson. Brown had one reception on four targets for seven yards in Sunday's 38-13 loss to the 49ers.
Analysis: Brown failed to take advantage of an elevated role sans DeAndre Hopkins (knee), turning in his worst fantasy performance in the final game of the regular season. The 25-year-old got off to a hot start with his new club in 2022, but injuries derailed both his and quarterback Kyler Murray's (knee) seasons. Analysis: Brown didn't see an uptick in opportunity in the absence of DeAndre Hopkins (knee), though he did command at least eight targets for the fourth time in his last five games. Brown was overshadowed by Trey McBride, but he still managed lengthy receptions of 19 and 17 yards. That helped him surpass 60 receiving yards in a game for the first time since Week 6.

Analysis: After his addition to the injury report Thursday, Brown wrapped up Week 16 with back-to-back capped sessions due to a groin issue, resulting in a questionable listing ahead of Sunday. It won't stop him from suiting up this weekend, but he'll be working with Trace McSorley under center with Kyler Murray (knee) on IR and Colt McCoy (concussion) unavailable. Analysis: After avoiding the injury report entirely Wednesday, Brown made an appearance one day later. Analysis: Brown's numbers were naturally affected by the fact Kyler Murray exited the game on the third play of the game with what appears to be a serious knee injury. The speedster's ideal route tree lends itself much better to Murray than veteran quarterback Colt McCoy, who tends to frequently operate in the short and mid-range areas of the field. Brown recorded six receptions on eight targets for 46 yards in Sunday's 25-24 loss to the Chargers.
Analysis: Brown returned to action for the first time since Week 6 and immediately led Arizona in targets and receptions. His yardage total was held in check as he worked in short areas of the field. That limited him to only 5.8 yards per target while his longest reception of the day went for 13 yards. Coach Kliff Kingsbury has said that Brown likely will be on a "pitch count" of sorts in his first action since Week 6, according to Urban. Getting close to return, per HC
Coach Kliff Kingsbury said Monday that Brown (foot) is "getting close" and is expected to be back after the team's Week 13 bye at the latest, per Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site.
Analysis: Brown was placed on injured reserve Oct. 20 due to a foot injury he suffered Week 6 and was slated to be sidelined 4-to-6 weeks. Per Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com, Kingsbury added that the wideout "is getting to the point where he's going to be day-to-day," but the Cardinals won't rush him back until he's 100 percent. Potentially out for season
Brown suffered a potentially season-ending foot injury during Sunday's loss to the Seahawks and will undergo further testing Monday to determine the severity of the issue, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Brown's X-rays came back negative, but he had a walking boot on his left foot following Sunday's loss. The extent of the issue remains unclear, but based on Schefter's report, there's a possibility the wideout could miss the remainder of the season. Arizona already has begun to mitigate the potential loss by trading for Robbie Anderson, who'd grown disgruntled in Carolina, and will get DeAndre Hopkins back from a six-game suspension Week 7. Sports boot after negative X-rays
X-rays on Brown's ankle came back negative, but he had a walking boot on his left foot after Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Seahawks, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: While Brown didn't break any bones, the boot suggests he may have suffered ligament damage. A high ankle sprain could mean a 4-to-6-week absence for Brown, who caught five of nine targets for 68 yards before getting hurt. Even recovering from a milder low ankle sprain would be an uphill battle before Thursday's Week 7 clash with the Saints, but at least Arizona's expected to get fellow wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins back from suspension for that one.

Hurts ankle late in Week 6
Brown needed help to get to the locker room in the second half of Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Weinfuss' ESPN colleague Field Yates reports that Brown couldn't put any weight on his ankle after being rolled up on. Brown had five catches for 68 yards prior to being injured. With a short week ahead of him before Thursday's game against the Saints, Brown could miss at least one additional game.

Efficient on 10 targets
Brown caught eight passes for 78 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Eagles.
Analysis: Brown could have had another touchdown if not for a dropped pass, but his box score was still very clean overall. He's generally been productive for the Cardinals and his fantasy investors, and in Week 6 he gets a Seattle defense that seemingly can't cover anyone, especially a blur like Brown.

Cleared for Week 5
Brown (foot) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Brown and A.J. Green (knee) both were full practice participants Friday and avoided the final injury report, while Rondale Moore (knee) is listed as questionable and likely will be a game-time decision. Brown gets a tough matchup against the Eagles and their talented CB duo (Darius Slay and James Bradberry), but it's tough to take him out of lineups when he's averaging 11.3 targets per game and has scored at least 12.8 PPR points each week. Brown (foot) was limited at Thursday's practice, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Analysis: Dating back to Week 4 prep, Brown's last three listings on Cardinals injury reports have been limited, DNP and limited due to a foot issue. At the very least, his increase in work from none Wednesday to some one day later is a step in the right direction for the team's top wide receiver. Back at practice Thursday
Brown (foot) returned to practice Thursday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: Brown was a late addition to the Cardinals' injury last Friday, when he was limited in practice by a foot issue and entered the weekend as questionable. He ended up playing Week 4 at Carolina on his way to six catches (on 11 targets) for 88 yards and one touchdown in a 26-16 win. The same injury popped up again this week, as Brown was a non-participant Wednesday. Now that he's back on the field, though, he's setting himself up to be available Sunday against the Eagles.

Not practicing due to foot issue
Brown didn't practice Wednesday due to a foot injury, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Analysis: Brown showed up on the Cardinals' Week 4 injury report Friday and was listed as a limited participant due to rest/foot. He was able to play Sunday at Carolina and earned a typical 94 percent of the offensive snaps on his way to six catches (on 11 targets) for 88 yards and one touchdown. However, Brown now isn't practicing at all to begin Week 5 prep, so his status bears watching as the weekend approaches to get a sense of his availability for Sunday's game versus the Eagles.

Finds end zone in win
Brown caught six of 11 targets for 88 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-16 win over the Panthers.
Analysis: His 23-yard grab in the fourth quarter capped the scoring for the Cardinals. Brown has seen double-digit targets in three straight games, posting a 26-296-1 line on 39 targets over that stretch as he continues to solidify his spot as Kyler Murray's top option while DeAndre Hopkins (suspension) remains out. The Arizona passing game faces a tough test in Week 5 against the undefeated Eagles, however.

Playing in Week 4
Brown (foot) is listed as active Sunday at Carolina.
Analysis: Despite capping Week 4 prep with a limited practice due to a foot issue, Brown will be available to the Cardinals offense, as expected. With fellow wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins (suspension) and A.J. Green (knee) absent, Brown again should serve as the team's top receiver, which has resulted in a 20-208-0 line on 28 targets the last two games.

Brown (foot), officially listed as questionable, is expected to play Sunday against the Panthers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Brown was added to the injury report Friday, though he still managed a limited session. While that casts some doubt over his status Sunday, he appears probable to suit up. Kyler Murray is likely to look Brown's way quite often, as A.J. Green (knee) has been ruled out and DeAndre Hopkins (suspension) remains sidelined.

Brown (rest/foot) is questionable for Sunday's game in Carolina, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Brown made a sudden appearance on the Cardinals' Week 4 injury report Friday, logging a limited session as he tends to a foot issue. If he's able to avoid the inactive list ahead of Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff, he again will be poised for significant volume in a receiving corps that'll be without DeAndre Hopkins (suspension), A.J. Massive numbers in loss
Brown caught 14 of 17 targets for 140 yards in Sunday's 20-12 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Kyler Murray set new career highs in both passing attempts and completions, and while all that volume resulted in only four field goals, Brown was by far his favorite target. The 140 receiving yards represented the former Raven's best performance since he hauled in a career-high 147 yards in his NFL debut back in 2019, and Brown could be poised for big numbers again in Week 4 against a Panthers secondary that just got torched for 147 yards by New Orleans rookie Chris Olave.

Good volume but mediocre returns
Brown caught six passes for 68 yards on 11 targets in an overtime win over Las Vegas on Sunday.
Analysis: Brown has been running his routes from DeAndre Hopkins' former position -- the left outside receiver spot -- but the returns have been lacking through two weeks. His 17 targets in Arizona have resulted in 10 catches for 111 yards and one touchdown, which isn't enough for how much Arizona depends on Brown while Hopkins is suspended. The Cardinals will hope to get Brown going against Tennessee in Week 3.

Brown caught four of six targets for 43 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 44-21 loss to Kansas City.
Analysis: The former Raven had a quiet first half in his Cardinals debut, but Brown connected with Kyler Murray on a six-yard score early in the fourth quarter. With DeAndre Hopkins suspended and Rondale Moore dealing with a hamstring strain, Brown figures to be Murray's top target in the early going this season as he looks to improve on the career-high 91 catches and 1,008 yards he put up in 2021.

Analysis: Head coach Kliff Kingsbury suggested that Brown would increase his activity Tuesday, and if all goes well, the wideout will be back to full speed by the middle of the week. Analysis: Coach Kliff Kingsbury said earlier this week that he hoped to get Brown back in individual drills by Friday and back to full participation by Monday. That could still happen, though it isn't looking great at this point. Brown's recent arrest for speeding is less of an issue, as it didn't cost him any practice time and isn't likely to lead to an NFL suspension.

No full practice until next week
Brown (hamstring) will be eased back into practice after the Cardinals removed him from the non-football injury list Tuesday, with coach Kliff Kingsbury saying the wideout may not be a full participant until Monday, Bob McManaman of The Arizona Republic reports.
Analysis: Brown was on the NFI list for the first week of training camp after injuring his hamstring in a training session over the summer. He spent plenty of time on the injury report in three seasons with Baltimore but missed only three of a possible 52 games (including playoffs). The Cardinals don't seem too worried about his current issue, counting on Brown to be ready for Week 1 while fellow wideout DeAndre Hopkins serves the first game of a six-week suspension.

Coach Kliff Kingsbury is hopeful Brown (hamstring) returns to practice "next week at some point," Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports. "I don't know when, but that's our hope," Kingsbury added Friday.
Analysis: The Cardinals placed Brown on the active/non-football injury list Tuesday due to a hamstring issue, giving him a chance to practice at any point during training camp once he's healthy. With more than a month before the regular season, he'll have plenty of time to reach 100 percent, but getting back on the field will be the first step in that process. On pace for volume sans Hopkins
Brown may need to take on a larger role in the Cardinals offense to begin the upcoming season after DeAndre Hopkins was suspended six games Monday for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances, Lindsay Jones of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Arizona made a splash on Day 1 of the 2022 Draft when it acquired Brown and a third-round pick for the team's first-rounder. He was slated to operate with Hopkins and A.J. GM Steve Keim said the Cardinals will exercise the fifth-year option on Brown's rookie contract after acquiring the wide receiver in a draft-day trade with the Ravens on Thursday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: As part of the exchange, Baltimore received the 23rd overall pick in this year's draft, while Arizona gained the speedy Brown and pick No. 100 on Friday. The Ravens dealt Brown and a 2022 third-round pick to the Cardinals on Thursday for the 23rd overall selection in this year's draft, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Analysis: Baltimore will need to make a decision on Brown's fifth-year option by May, and picking up the deal would keep the speedy wideout in house through 2023. Ineffective yet again
Brown caught three passes for 28 yards on eight targets against the Rams on Sunday.
Analysis: It's been a brutal month for Brown, who's seen 39 targets over his last four games yet has just 156 yards to show for it. Tyler Huntley doesn't have much downfield ability as a passer, so that's likely made it tougher to get the speedster involved. Moreover, Brown's effectiveness Sunday may have been impacted by him missing practice with an illness earlier in the week. Another inefficient game
Brown caught five passes for 44 yards on nine targets against Cincinnati on Sunday.
Analysis: As the Ravens' smallest receiver, Brown is the easiest one for a quarterback to miss, and he tends to suffer when playing with a quarterback who struggles to throw downfield. Lamar Jackson definitely has more of an inclination to throw deep than Tyler Huntley (illness) or Sunday's starter Josh Johnson, so it's not terribly surprising that Brown's efficiency fell off with that change at quarterback. Returns to action in Week 12
Brown (thigh) is listed as active for Sunday night's game against the Browns.
Analysis: Prior to missing last weekend's game against the Bears, Brown had logged a dozen or more targets in three straight contests, with his overall per-game production rate through nine outings checking in at 5.8 catches on 9.1 targets for 79.9 yards. Barring any in-game setbacks, the fleet wideout should continue to see his share of volume in a Baltimore offense that welcomes back QB Lamar Jackson, who sat out Week 11 action due to a non-COVID-19-related illness.

Likely to play Sunday
Brown (thigh), who is listed as questionable for Sunday night's game against the Browns, is likely to play barring a pre-game setback, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Brown was a limited practice participant Wednesday through Friday after missing his first game of the season last Sunday in Chicago. Schefter's report backs up the notion he's likely to return this week, but fantasy managers will still want to make sure he's active before the 8:20 PM ET contest.

Questionable for Sunday night
Brown (thigh) is listed as questionable for Sunday night's game against the Browns, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Analysis: Brown was a limited practice participant Wednesday through Friday, after missing his first game of the season last Sunday in Chicago. He's one of 10 Ravens listed as questionable for Sunday night, and while Brown's thigh injury doesn't seem to be too serious, he may come down to a game-time decision. Meanwhile, QB Lamar Jackson is back in the lineup and reportedly feeling healthy after an illness kept him out for Week 11.

Limited in return to practice
Brown (thigh) was a limited participant Wednesday in his return to practice, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Analysis: With no report of his thigh injury being serious, Brown's return to practice after sitting out Sunday's win over the Bears tentatively puts him on track to play this weekend against the Browns. Brown had three straight games with a dozen or more targets prior to missing Week 11, and his per-game averages now stand at 5.8 catches for 79.9 yards and 0.67 touchdowns on 9.1 targets.

Won't play in Week 11
The Ravens downgraded Brown (thigh) to out for Sunday's game against the Bears.
Analysis: Brown mustered just one limited practice throughout the week before being listed as questionable Friday, only for the Ravens to err on the side of caution by holding him out of Sunday's contest. Sammy Watkins and rookie Rashod Bateman are expected to serve as the primary options at receiver for the Ravens, who are still awaiting clarification on the status of starting quarterback Lamar Jackson (illness), who is listed as questionable.

Deemed questionable for Week 11
The Ravens list Brown (thigh) as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears.
Analysis: Brown's thigh injury kept him from practicing Wednesday and Thursday, but he was able to get back on the field in a limited capacity Friday to keep the door open for himself to play this weekend. Given his lack of full reps this week, Brown could be viewed as a game-time call leading up to the 1 p.m. ET kickoff, but if active, the wideout should continue to fill a high-volume role in the Baltimore passing attack. Analysis: Brown was unable to practice Wednesday and Thursday due to a thigh injury, but he's back on the field Friday and should have a chance to suit up this weekend. Brown (thigh) missed practice again Thursday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Now that he's missed back-to-back sessions, what Brown is able to do at practice Friday will be pivotal with regard to his chances of suiting up for Sunday's game against the Bears. Brown (thigh) didn't practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Brown is tending to the injury after he played 55 of a possible 73 offensive snaps and finished with six catches for 37 yards on 13 targets in last week's loss to the Dolphins. The Ravens haven't indicated that Brown's absence from practice was maintenance-related, so his progress will need to be monitored over the next few days to glean a sense of his availability for Sunday's game against the Bears.

Contained in loss
Brown brought in six of 13 targets for 37 yards and committed a fumble that was recovered by the Ravens in a 22-10 loss to the Dolphins in Thursday night.
Analysis: The 24-year-old speedster was done in by an effective Dolphins scheme that saw Miami take away the deep ball consistently, which left Brown with his second-lowest yardage total of the season. Brown's sub-50-percent catch rate was also a disappointment and his second in the last three games, although on the bright side, he's now logged between 12 and 14 targets in his last three contests. Cleared for Thursday
Brown (back) has no injury designation for Thursday's game in Miami, Adam H. Beasley of Pro Football Network reports.
Analysis: Brown was listed as a full practice participant Tuesday and Wednesday, following limited activity to begin the week. He should be all set for his usual role Week 10, with Sammy Watkins' potential return from a hamstring injury more relevant to the outlooks for Rashod Bateman and Devin Duvernay. The 24-year-old Brown is sitting on 46-682-6 receiving line through eight games, well on his way to hitting career highs before the calendar turns to December.

Appears ready for Thursday night
Brown (back) was listed as a full participant on Tuesday's estimated practice report.
Analysis: Baltimore held a walk-through session Tuesday, but Brown's "full" listing implies that he wouldn't have had any limitations if the Ravens ran a traditional practice session. Brown's graduation from a limited listing Monday suggests that he's at no risk of missing a matchup with the Dolphins on Thursday, when he could be shadowed by star cornerback Xavien Howard for most of the evening. Brown (back) was listed as a limited participant on Monday's practice estimate.
Analysis: Brown was on the field for 80 of a possible 98 snaps on offense in Sunday's 34-31 overtime win over the Vikings, en route to catching nine of his 12 targets for 116 yards. At this point, there's been nothing to suggest that the wideout's status for Thursday night's game against the Dolphins is in any danger, but Brown probably will need to log a listed full practice by Wednesday in order to avoid a Week 10 injury designation.

Brown secured nine of 12 targets for 116 yards in the Ravens' 34-31 overtime win over the Vikings on Sunday.
Analysis: After putting together a highly inefficient performance against the Bengals before the Week 8 bye that saw him bring in just five of 14 targets, Brown bounced back to play a critical role in the overtime victory. The speedster not only paced the Ravens in receptions, receiving yards and targets, but he also made three critical receptions during what turned out to be Baltimore's game-winning drive in overtime. Brown caught five of 14 targets for 80 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 41-17 loss to Cincinnati.
Analysis: After a quiet first half, Brown broke free for a go-ahead 39-yard touchdown early in the third quarter, doing well to stay inbounds. It was all Bengals after that, though it was encouraging to see Lamar Jackson pepper Brown with targets once the Ravens were forced to turn to the air. After that point, however, he and quarterback Lamar Jackson helped turn Monday's game around, with the dynamic duo connecting on a 43-yard touchdown late in the third quarter. Hauls in spectacular TD
Brown caught four of five targets for 91 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-7 win over the Broncos.
Analysis: While he didn't see a lot of volume, Brown didn't need much to make an impact. On a deep route in the second quarter, the third-year receiver split two defenders with a burst of speed and then laid out in midair to haul in Lamar Jackson's toss for a highlight-reel 49-yard score. Struggles with drops in Detroit
Brown (ankle) caught three of seven targets for 53 yards in Sunday's 19-17 win over the Lions.
Analysis: Brown had a trio of costly drops in the first half, all of which likely would have gone for lengthy touchdowns. He ended up with a quiet stat line as a result of those miscues after finding the end zone in each of his first two games, but the 2019 first-round pick continues to play a major role in the Ravens' offense as the team's top downfield target. Baltimore will likely dial up more deep shots for the speedster against the Broncos in Week 4, and Brown will look to put these drops behind him.

Brown (ankle) is active for Sunday's game at Detroit, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Brown played through the same injury last week and put up a 6-113-1 receiving line against the Chiefs. However, it is possible his ankle has gotten slightly worse, as he avoided an injury designation for Week 2 after logging a full practice Friday. This time, Brown was a limited participant Friday and listed as questionable on the final injury report. He now leads the team in every major receiving category, including targets (16), despite playing a few less snaps (71 percent) than fellow wideout Sammy Watkins (88 percent). Added to Week 16 injury report
Brown missed practice Thursday with a knee injury, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Analysis: Brown was added to the Ravens' Week 16 injury report Thursday, so his status for Sunday's game against the Giants will now need to be monitored. A return to practice in any fashion Friday would bode well for his chance of suiting up this weekend, but if Brown ends up out or limited, Miles Boykin, Dez Bryant and perhaps Devin Duvernay would be in line for added looks Sunday.

Breaks two big plays
Brown recorded six receptions on seven targets for 98 yards in Week 15 against the Jaguars.
Analysis: Despite spending most of the week on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Brown managed his highest yardage total since Week 1. He did so primarily on the strength of explosive receptions of 44 and 28 yards. The only thing missing from the performance was a touchdown, though he had a target near the goal line and was also dragged down only four yards away from the end zone on a separate play. Brown will next draw a Week 16 matchup against the Giants.

Comes off COVID-19 list
Brown has been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The same applies to Miles Boykin and James Proche, which solidifies the Ravens' depth at wideout in advance of Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Per Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com, the three players were high-risk close contacts, but now that's he has passed through the necessary protocols, Brown should be able to handle his normal role in the offense Sunday.

On track to be cleared
Coach John Harbaugh suggested Friday that Brown is "on track" to be activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list in advance of Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Analysis: Wideouts Miles Boykin and James Proche are also expected to be available for Week 15 after they and Brown were placed on the list Wednesday upon being identified as close contacts of a person or persons infected with the virus. Assuming Brown continues to test negative for COVID-19, he should be added back to the active roster prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff. Brown continues to be a big-play threat when he's available for Baltimore, scoring touchdowns in each of his last three outings.

Could play Sunday
Coach John Harbaugh clarified Wednesday that Brown hasn't tested positive for COVID-19 and has instead been identified as a close contact of an infected person, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Along with Brown, fellow wideouts Miles Boykin and James Proche were all placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list through contact tracing. The report adds that while the trio of receivers won't be able to practice this week, they could all be available for Sunday's game against the Jaguars if they continue to test negative in the coming days.

Lands on COVID-19 list
The Ravens placed Brown on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday.
Analysis: Baltimore also added wideouts Miles Boykin and James Proche to the list, but it's unclear if any of the players tested positive for COVID-19 or if all were simply deemed close contacts of an infected person or persons. Regardless, Brown's move to the list suddenly puts his status in question for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.

Overcomes drops to score TD
Brown caught two of six targets for 50 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 47-42 win over the Browns.
Analysis: Brown was plagued by multiple drops over the course of Monday's contest, but he came up big when it mattered most. Facing fourth-and-five while down a touchdown with under two minutes remaining, Brown ran deep for a dramatic 44-yard score to save his night and Baltimore's hopes of victory. In doing so, Brown also found the end zone for the third straight game, giving him considerable momentum ahead of a tasty matchup against the hapless Jaguars in Week 15.

Brown reeled in five of his eight targets for 39 yards and a touchdown during Tuesday's 34-17 win against the Cowboys.
Analysis: Brown capitalized on another ample workload, as Lamar Jackson made his return from the reserve/COVID-19 list. The second-year receiver broke out last week with four catches for 85 yards and a touchdown against the Steelers, after being held scoreless and posting fewer than 40 receiving yards for three consecutive outings Weeks 9 through 11. Enjoys long-awaited breakout
Brown secured four of eight targets for 85 yards and a touchdown in the Ravens' 19-14 loss to the Steelers on Wednesday.
Analysis: Brown ended up comfortably pacing the Ravens in receiving yardage, production that came largely on his 70-yard touchdown connection with third-string quarterback Trace McSorley in the fourth quarter. Brown showed off his elite speed on the play, one in which he gained 54 of the yards after the catch on his way to the end zone. Analysis: Brown's tough second season reached a new low Sunday as he was held without a catch for the first time in 2020. He drew just three targets on Lamar Jackson's 29 dropbacks while Mark Andrews, Willie Snead and Dez Bryant all saw more looks. Brown has just two touchdowns all season and hasn't had more than 50 yards in four games since the bye. He'll face the tough Steelers secondary on Thanksgiving.

Analysis: Shutdown corner J.C. Brown has fallen into a three-game cold spell, tallying just 55 receiving yards over that span after racking up 376 yards in his previous six contests. Three catches in Sunday's win
Brown caught three of five targets for 38 yards in Sunday's 24-10 win over the Colts.
Analysis: Lamar Jackson only needed to attempt 23 passes on the afternoon, and while Brown did tie Mark Andrews for the team lead in targets, the modest volume didn't translate into much production. Brown has managed only an 8-98-1 line on 13 targets over the last three games combined, and he'll face another tough matchup in Week 10 against the Patriots, especially if Stephon Gilmore (knee) is able to return to action.

Season lows in catches, yards
Brown caught one of two targets for a three-yard touchdown against the Steelers on Sunday.
Analysis: Brown's target volume plummeted to a season low and his catch and yardage totals followed suit. He struggled to generate separation to garner targets and his two targets came in the same sequence, with the first target being caught but out of bounds in the back of the end zone. Finishes with 57 receiving yards
Brown caught four of six targets for 57 yards during Sunday's 30-28 win over the Eagles.
Analysis: Brown's modest numbers in targets, catches and receiving yards led the team on a day the offense managed just 186 yards through the air. He totaled 163 yards on 10 combined receptions over the last two games, but this middling effort represented the third time he's been held under 60 receiving yards in six games this season. In addition to his scoring breakout, Brown has now exceeded 75 receiving yards in three different games this season. He had 75-plus receiving yards just three times across 14 appearances during 2019. Active for Sunday's game
Brown (knee) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
Analysis: Though Brown has yet to score a TD through four games, he's seen decent volume (26 targets) in that span, resulting in 16 catches for 242 yards. Assuming no in-game setbacks Sunday, the speedy wideout -- who scored seven TD in 14 games last season -- should remain a key cog in Baltimore's Week 5 passing attack.

The Ravens list Brown (knee) as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
Analysis: Brown followed a limited showing Wednesday with full participation Thursday and Friday, so he's seemingly trending toward playing Sunday. Brown was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a knee injury.
Analysis: Brown wasn't known to have picked up a knee injury coming out of the Ravens' Week 4 win over Washington, but his activity in practice suddenly bears watching as Sunday's game against the Bengals nears. The second-year wideout showed no signs of being slowed by the knee issue against the Football Team, hauling in four balls for 86 yards to bounce back from consecutive down weeks in which he combined for 55 yards on seven catches.

Analysis: Brown delivered a pair of receptions over 30 yards in the first half to account for the majority of his production in the game. He set up the Ravens' first score of the contest with a 33-yard catch, beating Washington's secondary down the field before being tackled at the one. Analysis: While the onus is usually on the coaching staff to provide injury updates, there's little reason to doubt the reigning MVP's comments about his top wideout. After Baltimore was eliminated from the playoffs this past season, Brown had a screw removed from the foot that he previously required surgery on in January 2019, so he's had plenty of time to recover before training camp. Analysis: The screw was placed in Brown's foot when he had Lisfranc surgery last January. The follow-up procedure is less serious, as it could limit his involvement in the offseason program but should allow for full participation in training camp. Brown (illness) is active for Sunday's game against the Steelers but isn't expected to play in the contest, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: The Ravens have already clinched the AFC's No. 1 seed and are expected to lean heavily on a lineup of backup players in a meaningless regular-season finale, so the team's top wideout won't be in store for any work. Quiet in Week 16
Brown caught one of two targets for six yards against the Browns.
Analysis: The rookie's up-and-down season was on the downswing Sunday as he saw minimal volume and was not impactful with it. Sunday's outing comes just one week after a strong four-catch, 45-yard performance against the Jets that also included a touchdown. Brown wasn't among the list of players John Harbaugh said would be resting for the season finale against the Steelers. Brown secured all four of his targets for 45 yards and a touchdown in the Ravens' 42-21 win over the Jets on Thursday.
Analysis: Brown tied Mark Andrews for the team high in receptions and notched his first touchdown catch since Week 12 when he made a 24-yard scoring grab midway through the third quarter. The rookie hasn't been over the 100-yard mark since Week 1, but his game-breaking speed gives him plenty of upside any time he's on the field. Analysis: Facing a difficult matchup, Brown managed a long gain of just five yards. Unfortunately, he lost yardage on his other two grabs and finished with a rather unique stat line. Brown caught one of two targets for one yard in Sunday's 20-17 win over San Francisco.
Analysis: Brown relies on big chunk plays, and there weren't many of those to be found in this battle of disciplined defenses. Quarterback Lamar Jackson only threw for 105 yards in this one, so there should be better days ahead for the rookie wide receiver, who was coming off his second multi-score game of the season. Brown caught five of seven targets for 42 yards and two touchdowns in Monday night's 45-6 win over the Rams.
Analysis: Brown and quarterback Lamar Jackson got clicking early, as they teamed up for touchdowns on back-to-back drives to start the game. The rookie first scored on a six-yard crossing route before later grabbing an 18-yard TD down the seam. He sprinkled in a few more catches afterwards, and Brown actually dropped a third potential touchdown during the second half. Analysis: What Brown -- who logged a limited session Wednesday -- is able to do at Friday's practice will be telling with regard to his status for Sunday's game against the Texans, but for now it's unclear if the wideout's absence from Thursday's practice was simply maintenance-related or indicative of a setback.

Listed as limited Wednesday
Brown (ankle) was limited at practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Brown popped up on the Ravens' Week 10 injury report Friday but was able to suit up Sunday against the Bengals, parlaying his 18 snaps on offense into four catches for 80 yards and a touchdown. At this stage, there's nothing to suggest that the speedy wideout is in any danger of missing Sunday's game against the Texans, but Brown could end up being limited at practice all week.

Scores in win
Brown caught all four of his targets for 80 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 49-13 win over the Bengals.
Analysis: The Ravens wasted no time getting Brown the ball Sunday, taking a shot off of play action for a 49-yard gain down the middle of the field on the first play from scrimmage. He later scored his second touchdown in his last three games on a 20-yard pass in the third quarter. The rookie struggled a little after a hot start to the season before taking to the bench with an ankle injury. In the two games since his return, he's averaged 18.3 yards per catch and improved his season average to 16.2 yards…read more

Officially active Sunday
Brown (ankle/thigh) is officially active for Sunday's game versus the Bengals.
Analysis: The rookie first-round pick will play through the questionable tag for the fourth time this season. Brown returned to action last week against the Patriots after a two-game absence but played only 57 percent of the offensive snaps. The 22-year-old burst onto the scene with 12 catches for 233 yards and two touchdowns in his first two games, but in his last four contests he has only 12 catches for 141 yards and one touchdown. The matchup against the winless Bengals provides a prime opportunity…read more

Expected to play Sunday
Brown (ankle/thigh) is expected to play Sunday against the Bengals, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: The speedy wideout's Week 10 status will be officially confirmed in advance of Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff, but both he and Lamar Jackson (illness) -- who was also listed as questionable for the contest -- are in line to suit up this week. Brown's production has slowed some since two strong games out of the gate this season, as he's averaged three catches over his last four outings since then. That said, the rookie's wheels continually make him a threat to break off the occasional big play.

Listed as questionable, per usual
Brown (ankle/thigh) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Cincinnati, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: A Friday addition to the injury report might normally be concerning, but the Ravens have frequently limited Brown's end-of-week practice workload, and he's already played through a 'questionable' tag three times this season. Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com believes reserve wideout Chris Moore (thumb) is the only player on Baltimore's injury report in any real danger of missing Week 10. Even so, it wouldn't be bad idea to check back in Sunday morning when the Ravens release their inactive list for…read more

Practices for third straight day
Brown took part in Friday's practice, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Analysis: Brown has been held out of Friday practices several times this season in order to manage the stress on first: the foot he underwent surgery on over the offseason, and second: the ankle injury he has dealt with of late, but it appears he is feeling good enough this week to avoid any restrictions. That's good news for those planning to include Brown in fantasy lineups, as he and the Ravens will square off against a Bengals defense that allowed opposing wide receivers to rack up a whopping 570…read more

Returns with 48 yards
Brown (ankle) caught three passes (four targets) for 48 yards in Sunday's 37-20 win over the Patriots.
Analysis: Brown returned from an ankle injury following a three-week layoff. While the rookie didn't produce a strong fantasy line -- no one from the Ravens performed particularly well in the receiving game -- his 48 yards did lead all Baltimore options. Brown slid back into the the top wideout role, and the speedster will look to break off a big play against a porous Bengals defense on Sunday.

Back in action Sunday night
Brown (ankle) is listed as active for Sunday night's game against the Patriots.
Analysis: Brown - who last suited up Oct. 6 - is available to those who rolled the dice that he'd play, despite the Ravens' late kickoff. The rookie wideout has the speed to be a big-play threat any time he's on the field, but Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com previously suggested that Brown could see his snaps limited in his return to action. With that possibility in mind, as well as the daunting matchup the ball-hawking New England defense presents, the No. 25 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft is a…read more

Draws questionable tag
Brown (ankle/thigh) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
Analysis: Coach John Harbaugh expects Brown to play, but Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com cautions that the wide receiver may not handle his usual workload. Brown missed the final two games before Baltimore's Week 8 bye, then returned to practice Wednesday and Thursday as a limited participant. The team then held him out from Friday's practice, with Harbaugh suggesting it was a matter of caution rather than any type of setback. Even so, an 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff is tricky for fantasy managers, limiting the…read more

Should be able to play
Coach John Harbaugh expects Brown (ankle) to play in Sunday's game against the Patriots, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Brown was held out of practice Friday after participating in a limited capacity Wednesday and Thursday. The Ravens have been careful with managing his practice reps all season, initially due to his recovery from January foot surgery and now to avoid any issues with an ankle sprain on the other leg. While Harbaugh is optimistic about Brown, Hensley believes the rookie could have his workload restricted Sunday night. It remains to be seen how the Ravens list the receiver on their final injury…read more

Not seen at practice
Brown (ankle) wasn't spotted on the field for the start of Friday's practice, Daniel Oyefusi of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Analysis: It's not yet clear if Brown was held out Friday because he suffered a setback or if the Ravens are just giving him the final day of practice off like they did several times earlier in the season. Expect coach John Harbaugh to shed some light on the situation after Friday's session comes to a close.
