Analysis: The fourth-round rookie was given a carry as well, but it went for no yards, so other than the touchdown it was a pretty empty stat line for the Central Florida product. Still, the TD -- Davis' first as a pro -- made a difference in the game and emphasized that he has become the clear-cut No. 4 wideout in his first pro season. He'll see only occasional looks for now, but if anything were to happen to Stefon Diggs or John Brown, Davis would likely have a prominent role in the offense.

Sees two looks in debut

Analysis: The fourth-round rookie was the hit of training camp, but he's still behind Stefon Diggs, John Brown, Cole Beasley and Devin Singletary in the passing game, so there won't be meaningful volume until/unless one of the top three receivers gets hurt and Davis becomes a starter. Davis did see the field for 49 percent of the offensive snaps, not too far behind Beasley's 63 percent and way ahead of Isaiah McKenzie's 18 percent.

Shines in first camp
Davis had a day of good work in Thursday's live scrimmage, accounting for six receptions, three of which went for first downs, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
Analysis: The fourth-rounder out of Central Florida has the size (6-foot-2, 216 pounds) that the Bills have been looking for. He's also had an excellent camp and is starting to look like a lock to make the team. Davis is probably considered fourth in the current wideout pecking order at the present time behind Stefon Diggs, John Brown and Cole Beasley.

Back at practice
Davis (leg) was a full participant during Wednesday's practice, Jay Skurski of The Buffalo News reports.
Analysis: Davis missed Tuesday's practice with a leg contusion, but the injury apparently wasn't serious. With no preseason games to prove himself the 2020 fourth-round pick will need to stand out in practice in order to secure regular snaps in the Bills' receiving corps early on during the 2020 season.

Sidelined Tuesday
Davis missed Tuesday's practice session due to a leg contusion, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
Analysis: This doesn't sound like much to be concerned about while we're still early in camp, though Davis is a rookie in a a crowded receiving room, meaning practice days are more leveraged for him -- especially without any preseason games in 2020 for the Central Florida product to show his skills.

Angle for playing time
Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll cited Davis' size as an asset this week as something the team hopes to put to good use this season, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports. "They're bigger guys, size guys," Daboll said in reference to Davis and fellow rookie Isaiah Hodgins. "Both the type of men they are and really the type of player, tough physical guys that have good ball skills, are not afraid and provide us a little bit of size."
Analysis: The team's top three receiving spots are spoken for between Stefon Diggs, John Brown and Cole Beasley, but beyond that, the No. 4 role is completely up for grabs. Analysis: The fourth-rounder out of Central Florida gives the Bills a little bit of the size (6-foot-2 and 216 pounds) at the WR position they lacked last season.
