Not listed on injury report
Hobbs (illness) was not listed on the Raiders' injury report Wednesday.
Analysis: Hobbs sat out the team's Week 16 win over the Jaguars due to an illness but is now healthy again. He should once again serve as the team's top slot corner during Sunday's game against the Saints.

Questionable due to illness
Hobbs (illness) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
Analysis: Hobbs was added to the injury report Friday, logging a DNP. Hobbs just returned from a four-game absence last week against the Falcons and played 55 percent of the defensive snaps, finishing with a pair of tackles (two solo) in the 15-9 loss. Decamerion Richardson and Jack Jones have been starting and operating as every-down players at cornerback for the Raiders. Darnay Holmes would be next in line for snaps at slot cornerback if Hobbs needs to miss Week 16.

Has no injury designation for MNF
Hobbs (ankle) is clear to play against the Falcons on Monday night, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Hobbs is set to return from a four-game absence caused by an ankle injury. The fourth-year defender began this week with a pair of limited practice sessions before participating in full Saturday to clear the way for his return. With Hobbs set to suit up Monday, Darnay Holmes will likely return to a rotational role.

Missing Wednesday's Practice
Head coach Antonio Pierce told reporters that Hobbs (ankle) won't practice Wednesday, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The 25-year-old cornerback was sidelined for the Raiders' Week 11 loss to the Dolphins after sustaining an ankle injury the week prior, and Wednesday's DNP suggests he might be at risk of missing additional time. If Hobbs cannot upgrade to at least limited participation Thursday or Friday, he'll likely miss his second consecutive game in the Week 12 matchup against the Broncos.

Ruled out for Week 11
Hobbs (ankle) did not practice Friday and has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Miami.
Analysis: Hobbs was carted off the field due to an ankle injury in Week 8 against the Bengals. Even with the extra rest thanks to the Raiders' Week 10 bye, the 2021 fifth-round pick was unable to practice all week, and his next chance to play will be Week 12 against the Broncos on Sunday, Nov. 24. With Hobbs sidelined Sunday, Darnay Holmes and Decamerion Richardson are candidates to start at nickel corner.

Misses Wednesday's practice

Expected to play Week 18
Raiders interim head coach Rich Bissacia said he expects Hobbs to play in Sunday's game against the Chargers after the cornerback was arrested on a misdemeanor DUI charge Monday in Las Vegas, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports. It's a legal matter and other than that I have really nothing else and we'll leave it at that."
Analysis: Bisaccia's comments suggest that the Raiders will leave it up to the NFL to decide whether Hobbs faces any punishment after the rookie fifth-round draft pick was found asleep in a vehicle parked on the exit ramp of a parking garage and then arrested after failing a field sobriety test. Lands on COVID list
Hobbs (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday.
Analysis: Hobbs played 91 percent of the defensive snaps last week but will be sidelined for Monday's game against the Browns, which was originally scheduled for Saturday. Desmond Trufant and Brandon Facyson should see increased run in the secondary for the Raiders in his absence.

First career interception
Hobbs recorded nine tackles (four solo) and an interception in Sunday's 17-15 loss to Washington.
Analysis: Hobbs picked off Washington quarterback Taylor Heinicke in the fourth quarter, marking the former's first career interception on a deep pass intended for Terry McLaurin. Hobbs is averaging five tackles per game as a rookie, and he should continue to earn a substantial defensive snap share against the Chiefs in Week 14.

Records full practice Wednesday
Hobbs (head) was listed as a full participant in the Raiders' practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Hobbs injured his head during Monday's loss to the Chargers and was evaluated for a concussion. Luckily for Las Vegas, the cornerback did not suffer a concussion, but they did lose corners Damon Arnette (groin) and Trayvon Mullen (foot) to injuries during Monday's contest. With Hobbs fully practicing Wednesday, he could be in line for a big role Sunday if Mullen and Arnette can't suit up against the Bears.

Could start Week 1
Hobbs recorded two tackles, including a strip sack, in Saturday's 20-7 preseason win over the Seahawks.
Analysis: Hobbs, who was a four-year starter at Illinois before being selected in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft by Las Vegas, is looking like the favorite to open the Raiders' regular season as the starter at nickel cornerback while veteran Nevin Lawson serves a two-game suspension.
