    Tryon (knee) is projected to log plenty of playing time in the preseason while auditioning to open the season as the primary rotational pass rusher off the bench, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.

    Analysis: The rookie will ideally show enough to garner and then hold on to that role, a development that would serve to help keep the likes of Shaquil Barrett and Jason Pierre-Paul fresher throughout the season. Tryon underwent what was termed a "minor" arthroscopic knee procedure earlier this offseason, but he should have a good chance to open training camp without limitations.

  • Recovering from minor procedure

    Coach Bruce Arians said Friday that Tryon (knee) is recovering from a "minor scope" undergone earlier this offseason, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.

    Analysis: Arians said that Tyron will rest until mandatory minicamp in June. At that time, the rookie first-round pick could be eased back into action. It doesn't appear that there's any real reason to worry about Tyron's availability for the start of the 2021 season.
