Bijan Robinson has faced a light box on 62.2% of his carries this season, 3rd-highest among running backs (minimum 25 carries).

Best game as pro
Robinson rushed 15 times for 95 yards and a pair of touchdowns while catching three of four targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 38-20 win over the Panthers.
Analysis: Robinson scored twice in the first half en route to arguably his best game as a pro in the win over Carolina. The 2023 first-round pick had been averaging 57.0 rushing yards over his previous five contests with just one total touchdown over that span, so Sunday's showing could be the beginning of a hot streak for the talented back. Robinson should be considered a high-end play next Sunday against Seattle and its 27th-ranked rush defense.

Cleared to play against Panthers
Robinson (hamstring) practiced fully Friday and doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Robinson was limited in Thursday's practice due to a hamstring injury, which presumably is the same injury that cut into his Week 5 practice time before the second-year running back ultimately suited up for a 36-30 overtime win over the Buccaneers. He's underwhelmed after being a consensus first-round pick in fantasy drafts, but he has a golden opportunity to break out Sunday against a Panthers defense that has allowed a league-high nine rushing touchdowns to running backs this season.

Limited by hamstring
Robinson was limited in practice Thursday due to a hamstring injury, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: Robinson also tended to a hamstring issue in advance of last Thursday's overtime win against the Buccaneers, so his addition to the Falcons' injury report midweek may be maintenance-related. He was able to handle a typical workload Week 5 en route to 15 touches for 77 yards from scrimmage, but it remains to be seen if he'll avoid a game designation for a second week in a row.

Compiles 76 total yards in win
Robinson rushed 12 times for 61 yards and brought in all three targets for 16 yards in the Falcons' 36-30 overtime win over the Buccaneers on Thursday night.
Analysis: Robinson was disappointingly limited to his second-lowest carry total of the season, although he at least saw an appreciable uptick from the seven rush attempts he'd logged in Week 4 against the Saints. The second-year back did extend his season-opening streak of games with multiple receptions, but after five games in new coordinator Zac Robinson's offense, many of the same frustrations related to sub-optimal leveraging of Bijan's skill set persist as he awaits his first 20-carry game. In clear for Week 5
Robinson (hamstring) doesn't have a designation for Thursday's game against the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Robinson was listed as a limited practice participant on Monday's estimated injury report due to a hamstring injury and followed it up with a cap on his reps at Tuesday's walkthrough. However, he was able to end Week 5 prep with a full session Wednesday and thus is ready to play Thursday. Through four games this season, Robinson has racked up 70 touches for 359 yards from scrimmage and one rushing score.

Feels ready for Thursday night
Robinson (hamstring) said Wednesday he's "ready to go for [Thursday]," when the Falcons will take on the Buccaneers in Atlanta, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Analysis: Robinson downplayed his presence on Atlanta's injury report, saying he's dealing with "little nicks and bruises." He's been listed as limited in back-to-back estimated practice sessions after having also dealt with a shoulder injury before being cleared for the Falcons' win over the Saints in Week 4. Atlanta will release its final Week 4 practice report later Wednesday, when it will be known whether Robinson has upgraded to full participation. Limited in practice again
Robinson (hamstring) practiced in a limited capacity Tuesday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Analysis: Robinson has now logged back-to-back limited practice sessions due to a hamstring issue. As he's facing a short week of rest prior to Thursday's key divisional matchup against the Buccaneers, the extent of Robinson's participation in Wednesday's practice will be telling. If he enters Thursday's matchup at anything less than 100 percent, Atlanta could opt to lean on Tyler Allgeier more heavily than usual in the running game.

Managing hamstring injury
Robinson (hamstring) is listed as limited on Monday's estimated practice report, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Robinson played a season-low 61 percent of offensive snaps during Atlanta's 26-24 win over New Orleans in Week 4, handling just seven carries for 28 yards compared to Tyler Allgeier's eight rushes for 60 yards. It appears that a hamstring issue may have been responsible for Robinson's uncharacteristically low workload, though he did still secure all four of his targets for 46 yards versus the Saints. The Falcons have a short week to prepare for another tough divisional matchup against the…read more

Takes back seat against Saints
Robinson carried the ball seven times for 28 yards and caught all four of his targets for 46 yards in Sunday's 26-24 win over New Orleans.
Analysis: The 11 touches were a season low for Robinson, and Tyler Allgeier actually led the Falcons' backfield with eight totes for 60 yards. Robinson's contributions as a pass catcher have kept his floor afloat in PPR formats, but the eighth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft has now posted lackluster yardage totals in two straight games as the Atlanta offense as a whole has had trouble moving the ball. He could bounce back in Week 5 against a Buccaneers defense that's had trouble against the run so…read more

Cleared to face New Orleans
Robinson (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Saints.
Analysis: The Falcons added Robinson to the injury report Thursday as a limited participant, but it's apparently not a significant concern after he logged a full practice Friday and avoided a game designation. He should be fine to handle his usual heavy workload in Atlanta's first divisional game of the year, facing a Saints defense that won't have star linebacker Demario Davis (hamstring).

Dealing with shoulder issue
Robinson was limited at Thursday's practice due to a shoulder injury, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Analysis: Robinson wasn't included on Atlanta's first Week 4 practice report Wednesday, so his status in the midst of preparations for Sunday's game against the Saints has become clouded. Friday's session likely will be key for the second-year pro to enter the weekend without a designation. Through three contests this season, Robinson has averaged 4.1 yards on his 48 carries, hauled in 11 of 12 targets for 89 yards and scored one rushing touchdown.

Scores lone rushing TD in loss
Robinson rushed 16 times for 31 yards and a touchdown while adding 21 yards on two receptions (two targets) in Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Chiefs.
Analysis: Robinson was finally stymied in his third game as a sophomore, failing to break the century mark in total yards since Week 17 of his rookie season. The former Texas Longhorn did provide fantasy managers with his first touchdown of the campaign, helping offset what would have been a negative report from Sunday's loss. Robinson remains the lead back in Atlanta heading into a pivotal NFC South matchup against the Saints next Sunday.

Another strong all-around effort
Robinson rushed 14 times for 97 yards and brought in four of five targets for 25 yards in the Falcons' 22-21 win over the Eagles on Monday night. He also recovered a fumble.
Analysis: Robinson once again was kept busy throughout the night, logging just five fewer touches than the 23 he recorded in Week 1 against the Steelers. He was more efficient with his rush attempts Monday than he had been versus Pittsburgh, and he was consistent throughout the night while recording a long run of 19 yards. Robinson's usage under new coordinator Zac Robinson has been encouraging -- even as backfield mate Tyler Allgeier saw only five fewer carries than him Monday -- and Robinson…read more

Good usage with new staff
Robinson rushed the ball 18 times for 68 yards in Sunday's 18-10 loss to the Steelers. He added five receptions on five targets for 43 yards.
Analysis: Robinson had a disappointing day from an efficiency perspective, but there was still good news in terms of his usage. He accounted for 18 of Atlanta's 21 carries out of the backfield and also led the team in receptions. Robinson's 23 touches matched his career high, a mark he reached only two times in his rookie campaign.

Robinson and most of Atlanta's other key players aren't in uniform for Saturday's preseason game in Baltimore, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports.

Not slated to face Miami
Robinson is among the key Falcons skill players not in line to play in Friday's preseason opener against the Dolphins, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Along with Robinson, the same applies to fellow RB Tyler Allgeier, QB Kirk Cousins, WRs Drake London, Darnell Mooney and Ray-Ray McCloud, as well as TE Kyle Pitts. While it doesn't look like Cousins will see preseason action, Robinson could potentially log some snaps in Atlanta's second exhibition contest, Aug. 17 against the Ravens. Jase McClellan, Avery Williams and Carlos Washington are available to handle the team's backfield duties versus Miami.

Could be in timeshare again
Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson said Tuesday that Robinson's backfield mate Tyler Allgeier will "have a big role" and be leaned on at "certain points" during the season, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Allgeier's significant role last year was a big factor in Robinson's rookie season being a disappointment from a fantasy standpoint, with the former taking just 28 fewer carries than the latter (186 to 214) despite playing less than half as many snaps (360 to 771). The rushing split figures to shift more toward Robinson now that he's not a rookie and isn't coached by Arthur Smith, but it sounds like the extent of that change won't automatically be what fantasy players are hoping for when they…read more

Robinson (ankle) participated in Monday's OTA, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Analysis: Robinson suffered an ankle injury during OTAs last month, but the running back's participation Monday indicates that it was a minor issue. As the 2024 season approaches, Robinson profiles as the lead option in an Atlanta backfield that also includes returnees Tyler Allgeier and Avery Williams, along with rookie sixth-rounder Jase McClellan (foot). Robinson (ankle) is on schedule to be ready for the start of the veteran minicamp June 10, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Analysis: Robinson suffered an ankle injury during OTAs last Tuesday, but he's only dealing with a minor issue and will be back on the practice field June 10-12. In the meantime, Tyler Allgeier should take most of the starting reps in the backfield, while rookie Jase McClellan (foot) could benefit from expanded opportunities if he's able to get healthy before Robinson. Tending to ankle injury
Coach Raheem Morris said Robinson will not participate in Tuesday's OTA practice due to an ankle injury, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Analysis: Morris said that Robinson is expected to be on the field for Atlanta's mandatory minicamp, as is rookie Jase McClellan (foot), who is also currently sidelined. The insinuation that Robinson's injury is only a minor issue is a relief, but the situation will still warrant monitoring until such time as the star running back is officially back on the field. Could benefit from improved QB play
Robinson looks set to benefit from what should be an improved offense in his second NFL season after quarterback Kirk Cousins (Achilles) agreed to a four-year, $180 million contract with Atlanta on Monday.
Analysis: Robinson, the eighth overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, fell just short of 1,000 rushing yards (976) as a rookie but showcased a three-down skill set, boosting his fantasy totals with a 58-487-4 receiving line. Big receiving day in loss
Robinson rushed 11 times for 28 yards and brought in seven of eight targets for 103 yards and a touchdown in the Falcons' 48-17 loss to the Saints on Sunday.
Analysis: Robinson scuffled on the ground throughout the afternoon but paced the team in both receptions and receiving yards. The talented rookie also recorded a 71-yard touchdown reception for his longest catch of the season. Robinson finishes his first NFL campaign with under 50 rushing yards in three of his last five games, a downturn that helped land him just short of 1,000 rushing yards (976); however, he complemented those numbers with a 58-487-4 line through the air, and a more aggressive…read more

Garners 86 total yards in loss
Robinson rushed 15 times for 75 yards and brought in three of four targets for 11 yards in the Falcons' 37-17 loss to the Bears on Sunday.
Analysis: Robinson put together an efficient performance on the ground, crossing the 70-yard threshold for the second straight game. The rookie's carry total was also his highest since Week 13, but he went without a touchdown for the fourth straight contest. Backfield mate Tyler Allgeier logged 10 fewer carries but scored on an impressive 75-yard reception, so the two backs will continue to share the workload to a certain degree in the Week 18 finale against the Saints.

Strong all-around effort in win
Robinson rushed 12 times for 72 yards and secured seven of 10 targets for 50 yards in the Falcons' 29-10 win over the Colts on Sunday.
Analysis: Robinson led the Falcons in rushing attempts and yards, as well as receptions, receiving yards and targets, making him the unofficial team MVP on the afternoon. The explosive rookie's productive day was an especially welcome sight for fantasy managers that were placing faith in him following his tally of 14 total yards in Week 15 against the Panthers. Forgettable day in loss
Robinson rushed seven times for 11 yards and brought in one target for three yards in the Falcons' 9-7 loss to the Panthers on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.
Analysis: Robinson's day was as dreary as his final line implies, with the rookie producing his lowest yardage output on the ground since Week 7 against the Buccaneers (three yards). Robinson's sparse usage was especially disappointing in that it came on the heels of six straight double-digit rush-attempt tallies and three consecutive games with multiple receptions. Rushing touchdown in Week 14 loss
Robinson rushed 10 times for 34 yards and a touchdown and secured five of seven targets for 54 yards in the Falcons' 29-25 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Analysis: Robinson logged just one more carry than backfield mate Tyler Allgeier, but he was the only one of the two to get into the end zone. The rookie did so on a three-yard run early in the fourth quarter, which served as Robinson's fourth rushing score of the season overall. Gets 21 touches against Jets
Robinson rushed 18 times for 53 yards and caught three of five targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 13-8 win over the Jets.
Analysis: Robinson had just six rushing yards on eight first-half carries but found more running room in the second half as New York's defense wore down. Tyler Allgeier and Cordarrelle Patterson combined for 37 yards on 13 rushing attempts, so Robinson continues to face competition for touches despite being the most effective running back in the Falcons' run-heavy offense. Analysis: Robinson led the Falcons in rush attempts and rushing yards while also recording his third rushing touchdown and fifth score overall on a 10-yard run in the second quarter. He then added a key 26-yard touchdown grab early in the fourth quarter, his third score through the air as well. Robinson carried the ball 22 times for 95 yards and a touchdown and caught one of two targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 25-23 loss to the Cardinals.
Analysis: It's the first time since Week 4 that the rookie RB has recorded over 100 yards from scrimmage, and his five-yard score in the second quarter was only his second rushing TD of the season and fourth trip to the end zone overall. Talies only 59 total yards
Robinson rushed the ball 11 times for 51 yards and also lost a fumble in Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Vikings. He added two catches on four targets for eight yards.
Analysis: Robinson had six carries at halftime as opposed to only three for Tyler Allgeier. That usage flipped when Robinson lost a fumble late in the third quarter, and he found himself on the bench for Atlanta's next two possessions. When he was on the field, Robinson didn't record many big plays, but he consistently picked up several yards per carry. Robinson rushed the ball 11 times for 62 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Titans. He was targeted five times but did not record a reception.

Even with relatively limited opportunity, he made his mark on the game with a long gain of 25 yards as well as a touchdown run of 13 yards -- the first rushing score of his career. Avoids injury report
Robinson (illness) wasn't listed Wednesday on the Falcons' first Week 8 practice report, Scott Bair of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Robinson was the subject of some angst in the fantasy realm for his unexpected limited usage this past Sunday at Tampa Bay, but an illness was chalked up as the reason he earned just one carry and no targets on 11 offensive snaps. The rookie was still able to somewhat salvage his fantasy production by finishing second on the team in targets, receptions and receiving yards behind Drake London. The rookie's early-third-quarter fumble after a one-yard run also led to a Texans field goal, but Robinson partly made up for that with a six-yard touchdown reception early in the fourth quarter. Tops century mark in loss
Robinson carried the ball 14 times for 105 yards and caught all five of his targets for 32 yards in Sunday's 23-7 loss to the Jaguars.

Robinson has run for over 100 yards in two of his first four NFL games, although he's still looking for his first rushing TD. Contained by Detroit
Robinson rushed 10 times for 33 yards and caught four of six targets for 27 yards during Sunday's 20-6 loss to Detroit.
Analysis: After a breakout Week 2, Robinson was held in check by the Lions. The rookie has finished with at least 10 rushing attempts and six targets in each game thus far, and fantasy managers can expect similar usage moving forward. Surprisingly, Atlanta abandoned the run versus Detroit, as Tyler Allgeier finished second on the team in rushing attempts with only seven. It's a little disappointing Robinson wasn't utilized more in the passing attack, but that could be credited to the Lions' defensive…read more

Shines in win over Green Bay
Robinson rushed 19 times for 124 yards and caught four of five targets for 48 yards during Sunday's 25-24 win over the Packers.
Analysis: Robinson led the team in rushing attempts and rushing yards. Tyler Allgeier finished with 16 carries for 48 yards, while Desmond Ridder added 10 rushes for 39 yards. However, unlike Week 1 when the two running backs combined for all three of Atlanta's touchdowns, neither scored during the Falcons' comeback win Sunday. Robinson was clearly the more dynamic back versus Green Bay and consistently made people miss, while Allgeier bulldozed his way to yards. Regardless, the two are expected to…read more

Likely headed for workload split
Robinson may receive the starting nod Sunday against the Packers but is once again expected to split work out of the backfield with Tyler Allgeier, Ian Rapoport reported on NFL Network's "Good Morning Football."
Analysis: The timeshare arrangement tilted in favor of Robinson in the Week 1 win over the Panthers, as he logged 31 snaps on offense (65 percent share) to Allgeier's 26 (54 percent). However, Allgeier turned in the more fantasy-friendly line (15 carries for 75 yards and two touchdowns to go with three catches for 19 yards), though Robinson still delivered useful production in his own right (10 carries for 56 yards, six catches for 27 yards and a touchdown). Atlanta may not be able to find as many…read more

Logs 16 touches in debut
Robinson rushed 10 times for 56 yards and caught all six of his targets for 27 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 24-10 win over the Panthers.
Analysis: Making his NFL regular-season debut, Robinson saw fewer rushing attempts than Tyler Allgeier, but as expected, the Robinson was heavily involved in the passing game, leading the team with six receptions. Fantasy managers who selected Robinson in the first round shouldn't be overly concerned with Allgeier's role in Week 1. While it's disappointing to cede goal-line snaps right away, Robinson will still get plenty of looks in the red zone as the season progresses and should be utilized in a…read more

Makes professional debut
Robinson carried the ball four times for 20 yards in Friday's 13-13 tie with the Bengals in preseason action. He also recorded one catch for six yards.
Analysis: The Falcons' first-team offense played only one series, though it lasted 20 plays and 9:51 of game time. Robinson played on that drive and entered the game after Tyler Allgeier took the first carry of the game. He gained 12 yards with his first carry and was largely unremarkable otherwise, though he did manage to haul in his only target. Robinson may not take the field again until a Week 1 matchup against the Panthers, when he'll almost certainly lead Atlanta's backfield.

Expected to suit up vs. Bengals
Robinson is expected to play in Friday's preseason matchup against Cincinnati, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Robinson was among a majority of key offensive playmakers for Atlanta who sat out last Friday's preseason opener against the Dolphins, but coach Arthur Smith said the rookie first-round pick will play a handful of snaps Friday. With 4.46 speed, workhorse size and a true three-down skill set as a part of a run-heavy scheme, Robinson is coming off the board early in the first round of most fantasy drafts. Considering the high expectations already set for Robinson, it will be hard for his…read more

Doesn't play against Miami
Robinson didn't play in the Falcons' preaseason opener this past Friday against the Dolphins, Josh Kendall of the Athletic reports.
Analysis: Along with Robinson, key skill players who didn't log any snaps in the contest included QB Desmond Ridder, WR Drake London, TE Kyle Pitts (knee) and fellow RB Tyler Allgeier. Afterward, coach Arthur Smith noted that the team's starters are slated to see action in this coming Friday's game against the Bengals, a context that presumably sets the stage for Robinson (among others who sat versus Miami) to see some action against Cincinnati. This coming season, Robinson -- the No. 8 overall pick in…read more

Set for preseason debut
Robinson is slated to make his preseason debut next Friday versus the Bengals, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: After Robinson and the rest of the first-team offense didn't suit up for Friday's exhibition opener at Miami, he'll be out there for preseason Week 2. He ripped off 6.3 YPC and hauled in 60 passes in 31 career games at Texas, which will serve him well in one of the NFL's most run-heavy schemes.
